"We met Doug at a neighbor's house. He met with us and we discussed what we wanted done- a complete bathroom remodel. He offered suggestions while being open to our ideas. Work was done in a timely fashion. His crew was careful when moving vanity, shower pieces and other items. They cleaned up at the end of each day. We have been very pleased with the end product. "

"If I could give zero stars I would! We had the most HORRIBLE experience with Christan/Nighthawk!!! We had a 3 phase home addition that was to be done in 6 months. It took 11 months and he only made it thru phase 2. He took our money then proceeded to only show up once a week for most of the project!! He left our roof off - exposing our home to extensive damage that he ignored - for 3 MONTHS!!!! He claimed we were a priority project to him and yet never showed up. And to add insult to injury the work he did was AWFUL! Framing was left exposed to the elements so long it grew mold (that we had to treat on our own dime) and the inside framing was so wrong that we had to rip it down and fix on our own. Beware of a sheep in wolfs clothing. Christian talks a good game and you'll believe he is a good guy/business man but he did us sooooo wrong!!! All I can say is do not make the same mistake we did - go with someone else!!!!"

"OK, so Mr. Frank was very professional. All his team was very professional, very polite. They were on time and they went far and beyond of what they were supposed to do and did not charge me more than what they said, so I am very very very satisfied with the work that Frank did, and I wanted to thank him team for being so wonderful and such a great People, we don’t get that anymore in America, but he definitely gave me that. And I’m so happy that I hired him. I had five different people that I got proposals from, and I called all of them multiple times to check on things. And definitely Frank. He definitely made this right. So if anybody needs a Plumber, that’s the guy needs to be hired once again. Thank you very much for all your services. And I recommend Frank to anyone that needs plumbing work done Thank You,"

"Jake and Sam were very professional. Jake was my primary point of contact, and he kept in communication with me about the project details. I was quoted a price, and that's what I ended up paying, so there were no hidden fees. I was told it would be 2 days of work, and the job was actually done on time. I fully intend to call them again when I need another job completed. "

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Virginia Beach, VA

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
