"No job is too big or too small for Toa and Kyle Home Solutions. Kyle does it all! My first contract with Kyle involved cleaning gutters, repairing a screen door, and changing the floor tile in the bathroom. This morphed into a huge project that took nearly a year to complete. When Kyle removed the existing bathroom floor tile, he discovered extensive termite damage that had been left by a previous contractor. It was like peeling the layers of an onion. The more Kyle uncovered, the grimmer it looked. He found that the termite damage had extended to two supporting beams downstairs. It involved consulting with a structural engineer and a pest control specialist to determine the exact extent of the termite damage. Kyle took the time to trouble shoot and brainstorm the project, consult with outside experts, and then set up a plan of action that covered two phases: 1. Replacing and reinforcing the beams to support the upstairs floor and 2. Changing out the termite eaten wood and renovating the entire upstairs (new flooring, tub, vanity, cabinets et. al.) Throughout the entire project, Kyle was extremely professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I so appreciated his patience with me as he sometimes had to explain and re-explain the process until I understood. He is extremely efficient and thorough, and his communication skills are beyond measure. He kept me posted continually throughout the work and sent pictures so I could see the progress. Prior to the onset of any phase, I was given a detailed description of the work to be done and it's cost. If I had questions, he promptly explained them. Kyle also had a unique ability to assess a problematic situation and offer an array of solutions so that I could pick the one that best fit my budget and timeline. I plan to use Kyle for future projects and highly recommend him without any reservations whatsoever. He is simply amazing! "Started on the day the was agreed and finished close to estimated completion date.  Weather provided a little problem not their fault.  Have had many compliments on the look of the roof and the metal even lowered my insurance.  Outstanding job, one of the few contractors I have used that didn't try to nickel and dime me for extras.  Very fair and professional"

"The work itself was done very well. I have no complaints with the work itself. I also appreciate the effort it took for the owner, Clayton, to arrange a time to come to my condo to do the work. My schedule was hectic, and we worked out and changed times. He was very good at returning text messages, checking and rechecking his schedule, and more. Also the crew that came to work at my condo were polite and friendly (fun to talk with). However, Xtreme Services fell short of my expectations in a few ways. First, Clayton brought 4 crew members with him. Who needs 5 people to do such simple handyman tasks? He told me that he had a bigger job just after mine, so he brought the whole crew. Second, they arrived in a truck without a logo and parked in a handicap parking spot. (They did have a handicap tag, but I did not see anyone who was actually handicapped.) These two factors created a problem for me. The condo security was a little surprised to have 5 handymen arrive in a truck and park in a handicap zone although there was plenty of other parking in a close garage guest parking spot. Security apparently contacted the condo manager who checked us out to make sure there was no trouble. This made me look bad. Second, it cost me $420.00 for them to do these simple jobs in two hours. I expected to pay about $250 to $300 as they did come to my condo, which is fairly high end, so I expected to pay a little extra for the service, but certainly not as much as I was charged. Third, I asked for an invoice, and Clayton asked me, "Do you need it for taxes or something?" I said that I didn't and he simply looked at me waiting for me to tell him to forget it, which I stupidly did. I really did want an invoice to see why I was charged so much, as well as proof that Xtreme Services did the work if I had any problems later on. (I paid cash.) I actually blame myself for not pushing for the receipt/invoice. But, still, any good business is going to write up an invoice at the end of the work. If Xtreme Services wants to continue to grow and get jobs, they need to know this, especially when working with people in Honolulu condos. I can add that I didn't ask for an estimate, being trusting, and this was likely a part of the problem with how much I ended up paying. Enough said."
