I chose CertainTeed because it was the only manufacturer to sell Cool Roof shingles here in Raleigh, NC and also because it manufactures shingles in Oxford, NC. I was referred to Artisan by a local building supply company sales rep, who had a glowing opinion of them. I selected Artisan for the job because they were certified with CertainTeed and were able to direct me to an actual example of what the installed shingles would look like. I was impressed by how quickly I was issued a quote at a fair price with an attractive pricing structure. I was also impressed by the meticulous attention to details noticed by their sales rep who visited to issue and explain the quote. The Artisan team was uniformly friendly, knowledgeable, professional and well-organized. My 4000 square foot roof was replaced in one day and on the date it was scheduled for."

"I requested a quote through Angies list on 11-27-20. I got a response from the company on 11-30-20 and received a quote on 12-1-20 after Steve came out and looked at roof. I had already gotten four other quotes and was trying to decide who to go with when Steve called back on 12-9-20 to see to see if I had decided, said they had room for a small job in between some bigger jobs. After a little price haggling I told them to go ahead with the job. They came out Friday 12-11-20 at 7:30 am and had old shingles removed and new shingles installed and clean-up done by 4:30pm. I was very pleased with the entire process from first contact to last contact which was Barry stopping by a few days later to pick up check. A&M handled my insurance claim; I had minimal contact with my insurance company. Work crew arrived at 6:30 AM, started work at sun up; completed job in 1 day. Work crew covered my bushes, plants and driveway; they moved pots and replaced everything back where they were. Their clean up was complete. I picked up nothing around my property. Roof replacement seems fine; new GAF Timberline shingles look great with our selected color. This was an important project that was handled quite effectively; I would strongly recommend A&M Premier for their services."

"We had a set of three projects, as follows: Replacement of Masonite siding with Hardieboard. Gutters replaced with Gutter Guard. Excellent execution. Minor issues corrected on-the-spot. Deck repair and refinishing. Needed to be right, plus no splatter on the new siding. Done perfectly. Roof shingles replaced with upgraded materials. We had a flu sweep through the crew. Storms impacted the schedule, and we insisted that the roofers take no chances with slippery conditions and lightning. A few issues resulted from these nature-sourced interruptions. "Through word of mouth, I called Camden to provide an estimate for a leak in the valley where the roof of the original structure and an addition join together. During the initial inspection/estimate, the original quote was only for repairing the valley at $750, the lowest of three estimates I requested.
Once the workman got on site, he raised concerns regarding the rest of the roof on the addition. The addition on the roof had been placed poorly, to say the least, and he was concerned that even repairing the valley would not correct other defects in roof which could cause more leaks in the future. Also he did not feel the repair could be guaranteed with all the other defects. After a brief discussion and personally looking closer at the roof, the contractor quoted an additional $600 for re-shingling the roof of the addition.
While I will admit it does sound like sand bagging, of the three quotes I received, none of them mentioned the defects in the roof or quoted a price for re-shingling the addition. I believe do it right the first time, so to me the extra money was well spent. In all, from quote to completion took 3 days.
