"This is an update to an update. I've had Simplisafe for about 4 1/2 years, and it wasn't working well for us. We had trouble getting the components to communicate. We had false alarms. The customer support was okay - I think they tried, but for whatever reason, the system just didn't work well in my home. Someone from Simplisafe offered to replace the system, and so far it seems to be working well. I'm curious to see if we have any problems with the motion sensors. I previously changed the sensitivity to "low" to make sure we didn't trigger false alarms, but for now, I'm leaving the new ones at the default setting. I greatly appreciate the customer service and them reaching out to me. After spending $500 on the components and countless hours fiddling with the system, I'm hopeful that it will work without much effort on my part now. Taking down the old system and setting up the new one took about 2 1/2 hours and was fairly easy."

"They installed a camera and security system for me. The security system mostly works- though there'd been some weirdness here and there, but they are very slow at responding to help with system configuration issues. The install also took ~2x the time it should have due to poor planning on their part. The real issue are the cameras - poorly, incorrectly installed, and a sloppy job at that. I made my displeasure known - they are useless when it rains or snows - and they refuse to do anything about it. Add to that a 2x markup on end-of-life equipment, and I'm out. I'll end up replacing them myself and redoing the install job when the weather gets nicer. Long story short: when my monitoring agreement is up, I will move my business to another (DMP) integrator."

"Installation went fine. The guys stayed late to get the install done. Gave us adequate instructions to use the system. I was not crazy about paying a second party extra fees to be the broker and now I find that my on site service is through a second party. I thought I would be serviced by ADT. After a couple of weeks the dogs set off the glass break alarm via a dog door or barking. Police came out, false alarm. I called ADT to get someone to come out and adjust the sensitivity. I got worried when they said I should get a call within 24 hours from the service company " Protect Your Home". Then they said if I don't get a call within 24 hours to call them and made sure I got E number. Great, so it's a week later and still no call so I have to make a second call. If I had realized ADT was farming this out I may have went a different way. Also I have one of the sensors on the front door dropping and binding on the door. Not great. <br />"
