"Greene Construction dug out large hole for egress window, used very competent subcontractor to cut the window opening with Greene Construction installing the window frame and window, put in a galvanized window well w/ladder per local building code regulations and hauled away the dirt.  I was very impressed with the professionalism of the Greene Construction crew, including company owner Damian, who said he prefers to work on the job sites over being in the office.  I also thought they went over and above the job requirements by helping me with some yard clean-up.  I had a pile of concrete scraps extracted from basement as part of my basement project.  I had asked Damian if he could dispose of them for me.  Not only did he say "yes", Damian and his crew helped me scoop up the concrete scraps and load then in his truck.
As for pricing, I had obtained approximately 5 bids and Greene Construction was right in the middle.  Based on the job completed, I would rate it a good value.  Ben was my initial contact at Greene Construction, he contacted me the day after my Angie's list inquiry and we scheduled the work after our meeting. 
In addition, I have another contractor working in my basement on the project, who also gave Greene Construction kudos for a job well done!

"Justin and his crew were fantastic. No issues at all. We ended up changing the tile, nearly mid-job because Justin wanted us to, "love it." He gave his professional opinion and he was right on with shape, color and style of backsplash. We should've started with his thoughts and saved us all time and hassle. "The owner, Thomas Burke, was great to work with in all respects.   To start with he specified concrete that was stronger than what I wanted and this really pleased me.   It told me he was willing to go above and beyond my requirements or minimums.   He started with grading and removing dirt so he could build a retaining wall to hold back the grade for a new driveway.  The guy he sent out worked very hard and did a near perfect job on the new wall.   Like any construction project there were a few unknowns but he worked around these problems.   Then he poured the new garage addition slab and finished it for me.   Unfortunately it started to rain just before the final finish hardened so they had to redo some areas.  Didn't come out quite as good after the rain but very acceptable.   Then they immediately poured the driveway slab.   No new showers so this came out perfectly.  The concrete company sent out the second truck too soon so there was not enough time between pours to really get set.   I think this second pour therefore did not quite get the grade Tom wanted. The driveway slab was pitched to drain water to match an adjacent existing slab and this did not quite work out.   I have a small area on the new drive slab that holds water after a rain.  It was a tough job to slope it right and it is within a quarter inch of draining.   Like I said they were still grading the driveway when the truck showed up and I really think this cause the slight glitch.
I have some more work to do next summer and am really looking forward to having Tom back knowing I will get a good price, a good job, and quick service done right.  I would highly recommend ACT Contracting to anyone.

"Owner Greg Heinen provided me with an estimate to pour a concrete floor in our addition. He arrived on time with his crew and prepared the site for concrete. The day ran a little long because of a glitch with the city inspector, so the install had to be delayed until the next day. Everything went well with the install and Greg's crew finished the slab. Nice quality work and the site was cleaned up well."
