"They installed an interior french drain and sump pump in one day. They were efficient and cleaned everything up before they left. The system is working great and no issues with water in my basement anymore."

"Wahl was able to provide same-day service on my furnace that had shut off in the midst of our first snowfall this year. Within 2 hours of arriving, they diagnosed and fixed the issue. They recommended replacement options in the next year, but weren't pushy about me spending that type of money now, which I appreciate. I'd recommend their expert, timely team to anyone!"

"The company did a good job but there was no communication between the person bidding the job and the people doing the work. They didn't do what we discussed during the bid, but they did come out and fix it and were very prompt."

"We had just closed on our house and moved in with help from our in-laws and the second day, we lost all water pressure from our well. Our home warranty company put us in touch with Chuck Haefner and he was really awesome. He came right away the next day and gave us a temp fix so we had water for the night while he retrieved the part we needed. The next day he was a bit later than expected due to getting the part but he fixed our well pump and we haven’t had issues since. It turned out the previous owners accidentally drained our cistern on their last day from laundry, showering and cleaning. That, coupled with all of us showering and doing laundry completely dried it out and therefore broke the well pump. We had water delivered two days later and we’ve been good since."

"Recommended by local gas company. Professional and polite and highly skilled. Converted stove from propane to gas for hook up. Extended a gas line approx 12 inches to complete hook up. I supplied parts for gas conversion. I do not think this work required 3 laborers. My failure was not getting an estimate in advance. Given the price of the work, I recommend this company to those in the top 1% of the country's income bracket not to those on fixed incomes. $800."

"I could not be happier that we chose Frank and Rezzetano plumbing. We noticed a leak in a ceiling closet of a home we just moved into; and it was directly below two bathrooms - so it could've been a real nightmare depending on where it was coming from. I'm sure this isn't normally how it goes, but Frank showed up about 20 minutes after I first called him...luckily he was in the area. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything / how he was going to fix it, and got the job done quick. Very friendly, professional and courteous - and patient in explaining things and answering my questions. Very reasonable pricing. Hopefully we don't need him, but he'll be our first call if we do!"

"We are in the process of selling our home and even though damp basements are very common in our neighborhood, we had several buyers comment and we decided to correct the situation.  I had four different waterproofing companies come out and give estimates and Rick was the clear choice.  One, he was recommended by a friend who is also a realtor.  Two, he seemed to really know what he was talking about, but was not giving me a hard sales pitch.  My sense is that some of the bigger companies send salesmen out, who have never actually performed the work (e.g. One rep was so perplexed by the fact that our basement was two levels.  Rick never even mentioned this, and they simply dug through the height difference).  Lastly, Rick's price was very reasonable.  We ended up paying more than two other estimates, but Rick's fee included more work: wall reconditioning, a french drain around the entire perimeter and installation of a sump pump.  <br /> Notably, our home is now under contract and we have had several comments about what a good job this company did.  The home appraiser even asked for the name of the company that did the work! <br /> The crew was punctual and the work was finished on schedule.  Long story short, I HIGHLY recommend this company. <br />"

"Our old waterheater rusted through and we called several people for estimates on a new one. We really wanted to go with a heat-as-you-use model to save carbon emissions and $$s. The first two companies we tried were responsive and honest, but did not have great expertise with these models and discouraged us from getting one. Proudfoot was excellent, walking us through the pros and cons and doing an afforable and very professional job. We would definitely recommend them. We have also been very pleased with the heater - it takes a little longer to get hot water to the low volume taps upstairs, but the water is very hot and it never runs out and our bill is lower each month. The heater is more expensive but it is worth it for the mentary and environmental impact."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Washington, PA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
