"Mr. Shaffer took care of the problem, which was a leak in the basement from a copper drainage pipe. He was here a few hours for this issue and needed some local supplies. I felt he was very fair with cost of the job. As he works as regular job as I do, you will need to be flexible as far as when he is able to do your project or may have other jobs ahead of yours. Would definitely utilize Mr. Shaffer again as I am sure other issues will come up with an older home."

"Was having problems with some leaks in my roof and was looking into having it redone with shingles but the pricing was a little too high for my liking. A coworker who just had a metal roof installed on his own home from Marshall Construction, recommended them to me and I couldn't be happier. Everything went well start to finish. Great price, only took a day and a half to complete and looks great! Would recommend them to anyone looking to have a metal roof installed."

"<p>Crew arrived at 8am and immediately got to work, they had to clear hard crusted snow off the roof, One very nice young man came to the door introduced himself and explained the days work. They had the entire roofing done by 4pm. The cleanup was excellent as they walked the perimeter of house looking for any debris a number of times along with sweeping the driveway and walk way. Throughout the day they kept the work area neat and after leaving nothing was left behind except a very satisfied customer. The next day a young man returned to place a new gutter along with soffit facia wrap around flat roof. Another courteous worker who did top quality work. "I contacted D @ R Builders about an estimate for work the 2nd week of Aug 2011. They came the next day and gave me an estimate that beat out all others I had for my job. They started the job Sept 1st, 2011, less than two weeks after my initial phone call, only extremely heavy rain kept them from working. They finished up in 2 weeks. They stripped the garage, two story multiple peak house, front and back porch roofs. They replaced any wood that was rotten or not serviceable, put down new paper and then very nice shingles. They added peak venting with the house and garage roof and replaced a lot of bad wood. My chimney was in need of major repair and they reset the brick and added a concrete stucco on it to secure the brick in place. That was my choice they also can totally replace a chimney. After all the roofing and chimney repairs and replacements were complete they hung gutters on my garage, rehung serviceable gutters on my house and porch roofs, and replaced unserviceable gutters with new. <br /> <br /> The workers for D @ R are very professional and clean up the job site every day before they go home. They were very respectable of our needs while they were working. <br /> <br /> I am 100% pleased with this company and am using them in the future to install new siding on my house and garage, and also concrete my driveway. I would and have recommended this company to my family, in-laws, and friends for future work, and you should consider them for your home improvement needs."

"The design of the tile went very well.  There were lots of cuts,  and we were very happy with the way the tile turned out.  We did not like the fact that the job was never completed.  The price included saddles for the areas where the kitchen floor meets the Living room, and where the kitchen floor meets the Family room.  This was never completed.  We have tried to call Lay It Down, but we get no response.  The floor has been done for over a month now, and they still have not come back to finish.  So basically it makes the entire area look bad. <br />"
