"Jeffrey came right on time (actually parked in front of the house early but didn't knock until the appointment time) he treated my sister's home as if it were his and cleaned up the water damage, applied sanitizer , and got on his hands and knees and made sure all the corners had no flood residue left."

"The good:
They were polite, neat, and pretty fast in getting to our home for service.
They did the demo and got the dryers going promptly, which probably saved the carpeting - half of the carpet pad was shot and removed. I thought the price had included getting the new padding and reinstalling it after the stuff was dry. The area was pretty small & I didn't think it was going to be a major $ matter to get the carpet reinstalled after the dry - out.
I chose not to go through my homeowner's policy, as I have a high deductible and this was a fairly small job.
The not so good:
Although I appreciate their getting the work done, I feel a little misled. They did do demolition and drying out from flooding, but, they told me later, they do not do reinstallation of anything. There was a delay on their part to pick up the dryers, so, I think we ended up paying extra rental fees for lots of dryers that were running for quite a few extra days. They had said they would pick them up on a Thursday, but, they couldnt get here until Monday of the next week.  I got other contractors to quote the drywall, painting and carpet work. Strangely, when they came to pick up the dryers, they offered to do the rebuild work the next day - for an additional fee that was never quoted. It was all kind of awkward. When I told them that I thought their original quote had included replacing the carpet pad, I was told that that was a conversation I had with their boss, not them. I never met their boss, just talked to him on the phone. It was sort of like I was dealing with two different companies. 
Anyway, it did all get squared away, but, when I calculated the hours of time spent on the work, the effective hourly rate was pretty high. I would just warn any others to make clear what is, and is not, included in the quoted work. I have no issues with the work that was done, and, I think they were very professional and careful.

"Great! The estimate was detailed and right where I thought it might be. Mike and Amede were on-time, professional and totally great to work with. "Chris was called about a small leak in our dining room ceiling. He immediately recognized it as mold, and recognized that the problem was likely more advanced than just the water damage on the ceiling. He cut out small parts of the walls near the joists and discovered our fairly significant mold problem. He secured the room and immediately gave us recommendations on the remediation, the predicted extent of the problem and the cost. This was discovered in early December (not the time of year you want to be displaced from your home due to mold) and despite his busy schedule, he and his crew set to work in the evenings to get our drywall down and the mold remediation begun. He kept us updated regularly on the progress of the project, as well as other developments he discovered. He provided sound recommendations, alternative options and reasonable pricing. He and his crew were neat and tidy, and performed excellent finish work. From beginning to end, we were only out of the house for about a week due to the chemicals being used and having a small child and dog. Chris stands by his word and his work. He was reasonable on his pricing and went the extra mile to make sure the room looked fantastic. One of our return vents was broken in the process and he not only replaced it, but painted our other returns white so they would all match. He and his son went over our baseboards and window frames with a coat of murphy's oil soap to make the room shine. We have an older house that appears dated, but when they were done, the room obvious had had a facelift. We are bringing them back to do more projects this spring/summer."

After reading Watry Homes reviews on this site, we contacted them in March. I had reached the point where I no longer wanted to maintain the house, and after researching siding options and speaking to other home owners, was seeking a contractor to install what I believed was the best siding solution, Hardy Plank. It was our intention to have the work done before the summer months, to avoid the disruption and scheduling conflicts which inevitably happen in high season.

Scott Watry came out and inspected/measured the house on March 17, presented window options and gave an overview of the process. Within a week we had an estimate and we gave him the commitment assuming the work would begin as soon as materials were received within a few weeks. The project did not get underway, however, until June 4th, the day I was leaving for two weeks of travel. My wife provided daily updates in my absence, and glowing reviews of Scott's workers, specifically, Paul and Rob who came in and installed the windows and doors. I met these guys later and they are true professionals who pay close attention to detail. The siders were also efficient and meticulous in their work, and cleaned up every day. The crew had a few guys, but Roberto, who appeared to be their lead, was very responsive to every question or request, and went out of his way to be accommodating. Splattered paint on a portion of our patio and sill appeared to be their only misstep.

In the end, we have a job that met our expectations in terms of quality, fit and finish. It was the punch list of several small items and requests which was emailed to Scott in mid-June that made the final conclusion of the project a little rocky. It turned out that part of the roof over our den did not receive adequate flashing necessary to prevent a leak that ensued after five days of rain. Scott insisted that it was the result of layers of caulk installed by someone else, inadequately sealing an inside corner of the roof. Dan, who was sent out later to make the repair, said the caulk and sealing had been done by their siders, and was still wet. Scott agreed to place a drywall patch in the interior ceiling where there was water damage, but I spent the better part of a day painting the ceiling, trim and walls to original condition once this was done. This put a damper on an otherwise great experience with Watry.

We totally respect Watry's workers and the diligence they exemplified every day. My feelings about Scott with him not taking ownership of the leak and the damage it caused was unfortunate because it would have been so easy to simply do so without casting blame on others. I also feel it would have been appropriate to personally stop by at the project's conclusion (today), to ensure he had a satisfied customer. As it was, he called and asked me to give a check for final payment to his worker before he left, without asking me if I was completely satisfied. In my view, the size and scope of our project would dictate that he do so. 

However, I would not be hesitant to recommend them as a reference primarily because of his crews.

"I would absolutely recommend JRV roofing to anyone needing repair or replacement of a roof. I first came to know Josh of JRV Roofing when I needed an immediate repair two years ago due to damage from a squirrel. Josh was the only roofer who returned my phone call, he came in less than 24 hours, and Josh's solution was perfect. The second repair was in January, and it was due to an improperly installed roof and issues at the dormer. I had water coming into a bedroom as a result Josh came in less than 24 hours and fixed the leak. At that point I decided to have Josh install a new roof. From start to finish Josh made this as easy as possible. He communicated with me directly at every step of the process. He explained all of the work to me clearly. The work was done from start to finish in less than a week. The clean up was so complete that it did not even appear that workers were here. The new skylights are beautiful."

"I am not sure that I go what I wanted. My basement floor is unfinished, and it has a crack in it, so I assumed they  would repair it like the way they repair a crack in a wall, and they didn't. They poured in a crack filler, which runs about 13 Dollars at Home Depot. I don't think it was worth 149 Dollars for a crack filler, and he was here less than 20 minutes. The crack has been filled, but it wasn't what I wanted, and before he did that, he said he would look at the basement and there were 3 cracks but he offered to repair the one on the floor. He could have chosen to repair the crack in the wall for 149 Dollars."
