"Paul did some minor drywall repair after we fixed a plumbing leak. He repainted the ceiling and the kitchen. Separately he repainted our front porch including stabilizing a porch post that had some rot at the base. Paul and his crew were polite, efficient, professional, and did excellent work. Everything was thoroughly repaired and prepared rather than just putting a pretty face over it. We were always informed of our options, what would happen, and when. "Marcos is a busy man. Once we agreed on a price he put the job on his calendar. This was a small job of painting old cement blocks with the goal of waterprofing. He did a great job and even came back to do a third coat on the old blocks. It now looks great. Marcos also painted the floor to complete the job. He will work you into his schedule when possible. "I hired Wood Renovation to power wash and stain my deck as well as replace some rotted boards. They did a good job replacing the boards, but they also missed a rotted board, which was not replaced. They did a good job power washing and staining the floor of the deck, but they only used one coat of solid stain on the floor, which was not enough. The Sherwin Williams stain they used even says to use two coats. The ornamental caps that sit on top of the balusters were covered with old, chipping paint, and they did not sand them prior to staining. The owner, Steve, indicated that he normally doesn't include sanding in a bid, but he did come out and try to sand off some of the chipping paint. They also used a paint sprayer for the deck railings, which did not completely cover any of the railings and instead got on my landscaping. I had to have Steve come back out two different times to touch up every railing. Fortunately, he was very nice and accommodating about it. Overall, the quality of the work was not worth $996."

My problem was that my sump was running often most seasons of the year, and dumping water into the side yard where it would run down a shallow valley in my lawn and over the public sidewalk. It has been a constant source of erosion, poor lawn, soft and muddy ground especially in the spring, and even ice covering my sidewalk in cold weather. I was not allowed by the city of Noblesville to connect my sump overflow to the storm sewer. I could not send the water off my property to be a problem for a neighbor either, of course.
I had done some research and developed an idea for a dry well to receive the water. I contacted several companies in Angies List that were landscapers or dealt with water drainage problems. After all was said and done, "My personal gardener" not only grasped the problem and the necessary solution, but gave me a very reasonable estimate for the solution.
George and his assistant dug a hole 4x4 feet square, and 5 feet deep. They cut the sod off first, and set it aside to be replaced later. George used a mini-backhoe to do the real digging, and it dug the hole quickly even through hard blue clay.  An empty 55 gallon drum was placed in the hole--the plastic drum had many holes drilled through the sides and bottom. The purpose of the drum was to receive the water directly from the sump and then allow it to disperse into the larger area underground. The 4x4x5 foot hole was filled (around the drum) with round gravel. Some kind of landscaping cloth was also placed over the gravel, then a layer of topsoil, and then the sod was placed back on top. The finished product was rolled and now the ground is the same level as it was before. 
Even if the water is slow dispersing into the subsoil, the dry well can receive about 250-300 gallons of water before it overflows, if it ever does. I anticipate that my yard erosion problem and sidewalk damage problems are now over. George and his assistant placed the dirt that was taken from the hole in various locations around the foundation of my house (at my request), where the ground had settled and too much foundation was exposed. He did not charge for this extra service.
It took a good half day of work for two men to do this job, and heavy equipment was used, and all materials including landscaping cloth, 2-3 yards of gravel, plastic drum, pipe fittings, etc., were all included in the job quote, which I thought was more than fair, in fact, a bargain.
According to Angies List, My Personal Gardener also offers plants for 25% off for members, so I am having George put in some plants for me in a larger landscaping project. I am trusting that it will go just as well. I have not been acquainted with this George and "My Personal Gardener" before this project, but I feel fortunate to have found him.

"Working with Legacy and the owner Mark Spencer was great. Mark explained the project in advance and it went as described without any major issues. We called Legacy in early January and signed the order January 10.. They just finished the last door and we are very pleased. This is a company a homeowner can trust. We believe the quality of the installation was very good. Each day the debris was removed and the yard cleaned up. That was important to us. We also felt Legacy went the extra mile and provided us with the details we needed and in some cases, didn't know we wanted or needed. Example, our back service door is somewhat hidden by a row of bushes. Mark recommended for security we place an outswing door there. No one can kick in an outswing door. We feel more secure. Mark was great to work with. There was never any sales pressure to buy. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but Mark's input was very helpful. It took a little while but we got the look we wanted. We had wood windows and didn't want those again, but we were concerned that vinyl might not be appropriate. Legacy has their own window and we used that . The look is the best I've seen in a vinyl window and the triple pane glass has made our home very quiet inside. The sun doesn't blind us in the evening in our family room either. Big relief there. Our house is brick lower level and cedar second story. We didn't want vinyl siding and ended up going with Hardie siding. The new color really makes our home stand out and the look is excellent. Fresh, crisp, no more wood rot! We love it. Legacy also replaced 3 doors. Two service doors and a new front door. We went with Legacy's Provia Amish door line. This is a stained fiberglass door and it looks like real wood. Legacy threw in a multipoint locking system for the doors, looks great, very secure. We also had our old wood deck taken down and hauled away. We ended up with a new design that works better with my back yard. Legacy's carpenters were also great to work with. Each morning we would get a call telling us their ETA. We ended up having their whole company here at one time or another. Window and door installers were very clean. The finish, the details were all done well. The crew that did the siding and the paint people were also professional and courteous. Everybody took their shoes off when they came in. That was nice. We are very happy with the job. We recommend anyone considering a project to give Legacy a call. Good people."

"DeWayne arrived promptly at 9:30 and went right to work.  We had contracted with another company through Angie's List to removed 20 year old wallpaper as part of our remodeling of the condo we recently purchased.  We were not  pleased with the work or that the worker spent more time sitting on our porch talking on his cell phone and smoking than he did removing  the wallpaper, nor did the company contact us  to see if we wanted them to finish it -- which we would not have.  
DeWayne quickly explained that there would be more time involved since he had scraping and glue removal to take care of prior to being able to start the patching and skim coating.  He never took a break during the time he worked -- until 2:30.  I had contracted for two hours but to complete the job it took 5.  I think the charges were fair and justified since he finished what the other company's worker had started and completed the job he contracted to do also.
I would and will hire Jersey Construction again for any drywall work I need to have done. We are very pleased with the company!!

"The whole project went so well, from the first contact till the clean-up was done. Manny is a good communicator, very conscientious, and detail-oriented.
