"So here's the thing: I'm picky. Not normal picky. OCD-level picky with psychosis-level picky layered on top. I also have very specific tastes. For instance, I prefer huge, large format tile over regular size tile. Even if that means it's three times more difficult to put up on the walls. All the way to the ceiling. With a 1/16th grout gap. Not 1/8th, 1/16th! Anyway, when I decided to undergo a major remodel of my home, I knew whichever contractor I chose would have their work cut out for them. Enter Edian and Alexis Home Remodeling. Edian is a straight talking, candid man who speaks his mind. The kind of guy who could trigger the more sensitive among us. Fortunately, that's not me. After we both got to know each other, we both realized the end result is what mattered most. The main focuses of the project were a gut remodel of the kitchen, transforming an upstairs bonus room into a bathroom, and structural work on the upstairs principal bedroom to raise the interior dormer entrance heights and reinforce the roof. It was all done with a high level of professionalism and quality, even when the inevitable surprises popped up (eg. the previous owner put down the old kitchen floor tile with plain old cement, which required days of jackhammering). Sure, Edian questioned some of my design choices ("who tiles all four walls of the kitchen?"), but in the end, the results are stunning. It took longer than either of us expected, partly because of the "surprises," partly because of my pickiness, and partly because adding a secret door in the kitchen isn't as simple as it sounds. But Edian I ended up as friends. Mainly due to the fact that we both value quality and honesty. Edian and Alexis Home Remodeling exemplify both."

"I highly recommend using Scott Curtice for any renovation project no matter how complex it is. We bought a house that was over a hundred years old that had not been renovated for decades. Starting from the planning stage, Scott was wonderful about redesigning the house in order to open up the space and bring it into a more modern look. "Eric's team rebuilt our entire three season room, which was not functional. It is now, thanks to Mike and Brian. It also looks very good! "When we started looking for a contractor on Angie's List, we were skeptical that we could find someone who could do three things: being within our budget, easy to communicate with and making sure that the final product was of high quality. We had a big project (renovating two bathrooms, renovating a kitchen, taking down a wall, removing wood paneling from multiple rooms, remodeling our basement, including removing asbestos tile from the whole basement, whole house interior painting, remodeling the laundry room, installing new light fixtures everywhere, etc) and Sanfer ended up being the perfect contractor for us. He was so easy to get in touch with and he did a great job keeping us updated on the project as it was coming along (we weren't living there at the time). While the project ended up going over the original budget we set, we also added multiple projects along the way that Sanfer was able to accomplish. The other thing we truly appreciated is that Sanfer has a true eye for quality and was able to ensure everything was exactly to our standards -- the tiling, the painting, even the installation of our new doorknobs. He even brought certain things up to us to help make the home more secure and prevent future damage (putting up stronger supports under our deck, fixing the flashing around the chimney) that he didn't need to do. When a few things needed to be fixed after the renovations were complete, he wasted no time in sending someone out to do the repair. Sanfer was so nice, honest, and enjoyable to work with, things we were not expecting to find in our general contractor but which made the whole renovation experience that much more positive. We would absolutely recommend him and his crew to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy contractor who will do a high-quality job for a fairly reasonable price."

rebuilt our kitchen, and converted our 3 season porch into a heated
sun room. They did everything from the demo work to the final touches of
installing the back splash.
Antonio and his crew, (and I'm lumping in his
subs for the plumbing and electrical parts here), did an outstanding
job on our renovation project. Renovation projects can be stressful and
Antonio did a great job through the whole project. He was always
reachable when we had a question or a concern and always made it a
priority to make sure we were satisfied with the results. In some cases that meant working with us on what we wanted, leaving out samples for us to look at when we got home, or even sending picture text messages to make sure it's what we wanted before doing it. It's those types of things that make a big difference in the final result.
All renovation project encounter problems. In our case we had a few design
issues as well as delays with our counter tops that held up plumbing install and a few other things. First off these are problems that were not caused by
  Antonio's team but rather reinforce the need to hire a team like them who can help you through it and work around it.
Finding the right contractor is as much
about personality fit as it is about finding one with the right skill set. I'm going to level with you. My wife and I can be tough customers. An engineer and   and architectual designer by trade, I'll admit we can be picky about certain parts of the project. Maybe that's an understatement, I don't know, but more importantly I think that says something about our contractor. You have to Antonio for his patience, attention to detail and pride in his work. They were evident throughout the project and most importantly in the final result. I have no reservations about hiring him and his team again for future work to our home.
