"Had a retaining wall extending away from our house with a defective brick cap with failing masonry and bricks falling away left and right. We also had several spots on our brick house where the brick either separated or noticeable masonry cracks were developing. Of the two contractors I considered, Pete came by and took his time to understand the issues, match mortar and to propose long-term fixes (the first contractor just looked over photos and planned to repair what was a poor design). During the job, he gave expert advice on what areas to keep an eye on moving forward (i.e. spots where the home brickwork design could be a problem later). He also noticed a neighbor's brick chimney was actually leaning by 5-10 degrees and advised her to think hard about a repair in the near future, noting an expensive repair was far better than a collapsed chimney. In my case, he removed the existing bricks from the top of the retaining wall, preserved the vast majority of them (removed the attached mortar), poured underneath a new concrete base and reinstalled the brickwork in a way that apart from the mortar (lighter white, but essentially identically to existing) was really hard to distinguish from the rest of the house. He also removed / repaired mortar around multiple cracks around the house. And in one tricky area, he removed the outer half of several bricks (which separated on their own) and cut bricks to replace and re-mortar in a way that was again hard to distinguish from the surrounding brickwork. This was a 2 day job for Pete to complete. While the job was a little expensive, it was well worth the investment to make sure that the repairs would fully reestablish the harmony and attractiveness of our exterior brickwork. I am honestly a DIY kind of homeowner who really dislikes bringing in contractors, but there is no way that I could have done this on my own, at least not without leaving behind a series of eyesores... So if you care about your brickwork's useful life and appearance, or you have a complicated repair job, I highly recommend Pete."

"Rick "Ricky" Freeman is great to work with... I texted him on Sunday evening and he was here on Monday at 10am. He got my AC working in a very short time. An hour after he left the thermostat turns off. Apparently the AC blew a fuse on the furnace and shut everything off. I called him again and he was back at the house within an hour. Ricky diagnosed the problem which wasn't easy since furnace is in the attic and there is no light and no room to work (on your back or side in must areas). After replacing the fuse Ricky went out of his way repairing a hole in air return duct that had been there for years, cleaning drip pan, and moving shutoff value out of the way, as well as other things. He spent an 1 1/2 working and when done he left shaking my hand with a smile and saying, "No Charge" for this trip. I argued briefly with him telling him the fuse blowing had nothing to do with original service call, but he just said no problem, still No Charge. This kind of service is what makes great entrepreneurs, not because he didn't charge me for the second service I would have gladly paid the same as with the first service call, but rather his work ethic and caring about his craft! I would highly recommend Rick Freeman for any HVAC repairs and replacements. RP"

"The coupon was for window AND screen cleaning. The person I spoke to on the phone to set up the appt. was super nice, and he actually scheduled someone to come out that same day. The guy who came to do the work took the screens off every window, washed the windows and then replaced the screens. The screens were not cleaned. When he came to the door to say he was done, I asked him why he didn't wash the screens. I was told they didn't wash the screens. OK. Whatever. I guess you get what you pay for. Not sure why the coupon specifically stated the screens. The worker put approx. 50% of the screens on wrong. He had 2 screens inside out (the screens have white dividers), and 8 screens upside down. The windows did look great though! If only they could be seen behind the dirty screens."
