"Shawn and his entire team were friendly, polite and took great care to keep our home clean and with little inconvenience during the project of drain tiling and installing a sump pump in our basement. They also fixed a crack in the wall that was discovered after the estimate was created."

"I work abroad and my wife and kids were at home when suddenly the water stopped working. We didn’t know what to do or who to call. My wife tried talking to electricians and plumbers but none of them could fix it and said it was a well pump issue and they couldn’t help. We are new home owners and not familiar with these things so my family went without water for almost 2 weeks until... I randomly Googled “well pump companies” and saw that “Tri County Pumps” had amazing reviews so I called them. They were the kindest and most understanding company I’ve ever worked with. They got there exactly when needed and fix everything and had qualified electricians and plumbers onsite while fixing our pump and did everything step by step with us so we could understand. Their entire staff from owners to admin to on-the-job workers were beyond amazing to work with and they made it so easy. Even from 1,000’s of miles away. I wish I could give them more stars. God bless you all!!"

"Dean recently inspected the home I am planning to purchase. He was punctual and profession while providing exceptional service. My report was received same day. I was satisfied with the service he provided and would recommend him in the future. Thanks Dean!"

"Arrived exactly on time and was very professional.  Explained the problem to me. Worked quickly and quietly and replaced the old corroded pipe so I'll have no further problems.  Completely cleaned up so there was no sign he was even here.  It couldn't have been a better experience."

"Our shower valve (Delta faucet) had been leaking for weeks, and we finally decided to get it fixed after I couldn't get the valve assembly apart myself without causing damage. I'd seen YouTube videos on doing this, and some people had done major damage to pipes when trying to extricate these parts with brute force. We called Art one evening because he's local and because of a couple of good reviews. He scheduled us for the next day. On that visit, he encountered the same problem I did. 30+ years or scale left that lock ring (or whatever they call it) hopelessly stuck even after a half hour of work, so he cut the wallboard behind the shower. His cuts were careful and neat, but the builders had put studs right behind the valve! Ugh! This called for a bit more cutting. Not his fault, this stupid house design!! We decided that since he's in the back there anyway, we'd just get the whole shower valve/etc. replaced with a new Moen. Not the cheapest, and half the total cost (or a bit more) was for this new item, but it's a nice unit. This wasn't something he carries around, and he needed a Sawz-all for further work anyway, so he was in and out in only about an hour that day. He came back right on time the next day with the new shower parts, and that took about another hour. He caulked up the overflow drain properly as well, which had been poorly installed years ago. He actually did less cutting of wallboard than I expected, so we're happy about that. Obviously, we'd have rather had just a quick and cheap washer replacement, but when it turned out to be impossible, he did a good job for us: Prompt, on time, friendly. I'd be more than happy to have him back here again to do whatever other plumbing work we need done."

"They had been out the month previous and made a fix on something with the well pump that then didn't work. If we would have been told the month before, we wouldn't have had to pay $500 the month before and we could have just replaced it then. Our interactions with them were fine. The work turned out fine. They could definitely provide estimates of expected replacement."

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"Excellent wish all my contractors came out this good.  showed up for the estimate on time and had a video that showed the steps to fix the basement.  measured  the basement and made up contract.  when I mentioned angies list and deals offered we built it right into contract without printing coupons and stuff. were quick with availability came out the following week.  foreman (Dan) was on time and double checked everything before starting .Wanted to move sump pump and outside drain to a less used area. not a PROBLEM. Was loud and cold in the house all day as if you run the furnace while they work it comes through the vents.  laid out carpet protectors and were done in only 1 day (the estimator planned 2)  Jackhammered the floor out and dug down to foundation laid new drains and installed new sump pump. they brought 5 people and they all worked hard constantly for the day.  lost track of all the buckets after 30 (5 gal. buckets).removed with old crap.  Explained all the warranties and paperwork with new sump pump.  Have to wait for the concrete to dry. it's now 3 days later and I'm ready to put the basement back together.  Looks great and can't wait to use the basement without wet and damp floors and walls furnace)  did forget to put screen back in basement window but if you have leaky walls and damp floors this is nice.  any problems after the next big rain I'll let ya's know. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Waynesboro, PA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
