"Our dryer was running but not heating up. We found Alstate on Angie's List and called them Monday morning. We called before they were open, so their answering service took a message. They called us back the same morning and scheduled a service call for Tuesday evening between 5:00 and 7:00. They gave us a $25.00 discount for being Angie's List members. They showed up and diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning control board. They do not carry the part, so they had to order it. They worked with us to allow us time to decide if we wanted to repair the dryer or replace it. They told us to give them a call if we wanted them to order the part. They were very professional, and did not pressure us to make a decision. We decided to go ahead with the repair, so we called them the following morning. They ordered the part, which arrived by Friday. They returned Friday morning and completed the repair. "To be fair, the Appliance Installer guys did a great job on installing a new rigid duct for my dryer. However, I needed to have them come out a few more times to help fix the original problem which was that the dryer was not drying my clothes like it used to. They replaced at least one part that didn't actually need to be replaced and didn't fix the problem. In the end, I hired a Maytag certified repair person who finally properly diagnosed the drying problem and fixed it. It's just too bad that it took three different technicians and over $500 total to get the problem completely resolved."
