"Jeffries Building has been amazing. Their work is meticulous and their level of service goes above and beyond the call of duty. I have used them for repair on my front stoop in historic district, as well as additional water remediation in my basement. I plan to use them for several additional projects. They are fair in price and completely reliable. This is not my first experience with contractors, but it is without a doubt, the best."

"I hired Cesar and his crew to gut and renovate multiple bedrooms a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Cesar, Armondo and Benjamin were an absolute pleasure to work with. Their knowledge, expertise and craftmanship are top notch. Cesar is easy to work with and truly cares about making sure his customers are happy. Cesar has an uncanny knack for finding a solution to any problem he encounters. I found his pricing to be very fair and reasonable and I quickly learned I could trust Cesar. If you are looking to remodel, finish off a room or repair any part of your interior, Cesar and his team should be your first call."

"I decided to completely redo my master bathroom and added a custom made cabinet that is built inside my wall. I am extremely pleased & satisfied with the final result of my bathroom. Greg also did many other improvements in my home, new plumbing, new ceiling in my office with new led lights, painting. He also installed new fans & lights in my other rooms. He re-did & fixed several other things in my home. I am very impressed with Greg’s knowledge, interest, his great ideas & many advices. He spent lots of time helping me solve many problems, even though he had nothing to gain. While he was working on the home projects, he clean & took great care of my home. Greg is also amazing handyman for all types of jobs. He have been a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call and hired Greg for any new home remodeling projects in the future. I highly recommend G.J.Custom Renovations to anyone."

"Because we live in a condo, we had to work with several color constraints when replacing the windoes.  Jim shopped and helped us choose the best quality match, while keeping costs in mind.  He presented us with various choices, with pros and cons of each.  In short, he not only did the work, he gave us a good education so we could make a sound decision. He was patient while we waited for the condo to give approvals. His co-worker,  Karen, answered all our questions and was so helpful with each project.  I must add that when we agreed to the first proposal, we sent in a check, which they did not cash immediately.  Thinking this odd, i called to see if maybe the check didn't make it. Karen explained that they hold the check and would only cash it three days before doing the job.  That, I believe, shows real integrity, something sadly rare in this day. Another plus, both Jim and Karen do a lot of volunteer work in the area. People like that, who are always giving back to the community, should be supported in all their efforts.  I totally recommend them!!!! <br>"

"Initial scope of project was full kitchen demo inclusive of knocking down wall, redoing wood floors in living room, entryway, stairs and upstairs hallway. Plus painting those areas. As the project progressed we added several other items – install tile floor in ½ bath, new door and paint, add recessed living room lights, add new window (not replace existing but actual new opening), paint basement plus reroute existing heat/AC vent to another location within basement. And other things like request to cut opening in existing air ducts to add additional vents to now larger kitchen area and another one for living room. Franco came to our house at least four times before we signed contract. He initially met with my husband a few times and then with both of us. He provided detailed quote (4-5 pages) and references to call. We expressed concern about soffit in kitchen we wanted removed to install 36” tall wall cabinets but unsure if piping, etc. was inside. Holes were made to see inside soffit and he consulted with his plumber and confirmed we could remove and have flush ceiling there. This was done even before we signed contract. He applied for permits and started project on time. His payment schedule is typical - 1/3 down, 1/3 midway and 1/3 end. His team was quick with demo – one day - wall gone, studs in outside walls and ceiling beams exposed. The project moved along as expected with minor delays beyond Franco’s control. We delayed project with additional requests as described in first paragraph. New window required resubmission of permit paperwork. Also designer we chose (not connected to Franco) had poor follow-through. Designer delayed our project numerous times - cabinet order, tile order, replacement cabinet doors – all late! This caused Franco to have to shuffle his schedule around several times too. Franco made himself available to meet with me and my husband throughout the project. He was responsive throughout via text, phone, in person whichever we preferred. He provided frequent status updates - without being asked to do so. We also asked Franco about quartz counter tops and he referred us to local company he deals with. They were great with very reasonable pricing so we purchased their countertops - no issues with that process. We saved money here because had been to several other counter top suppliers and this place had pattern/style we wanted and lowest pricing for same quartz quality. I was indecisive on paint colors so had him repaint three times! Let me tell you I was a thorn in this man’s side and his disposition was always No Problem, Ok, Don’t Worry, It will be fine. He patiently reviewed with me my bulleted lists of items - quick things like questions, comments, needed explanations, etc. He made suggestions along the way that not only made more sense that what my husband and I were thinking but at times saved us money. I asked him several times about the installed recessed lights in living room because I thought they were too bright. I got him to change recessed light fixtures in kitchen and then back again. He advised it would be fine once dimmer switch was installed and it was. I know I drove this man crazy! Franco’s workers left work areas neat each day. He doesn’t over book jobs because he had workers at my house all the time - mostly the same exact crew. And towards end I mentioned I was having small gathering for my son and asked him not to work that particular day. We were pleasantly surprised that the day before they thoroughly cleaned the kitchen (counters, floor etc.) and living room floor and put down protective coverings on floors. This is the extra stuff this man/company does. We absolutely love the new kitchen, new layout, additional natural light from new window, paint colors etc. We’ll definitely use him again and already have another smaller project in mind. It’s rare these days to find contractor with his integrity, dedication, knowledge who takes pride in his company and workmanship. And does it all with a great attitude – which is appreciated especially when you’re living in the home throughout the remodel. I very highly recommend Ribo Construction."

FAQs for handyman service projects in West New York, NJ

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
