"Very fast and efficient, I had a French drain installed along with a newer sump pump and backup pump that is battery powered so if I lose power can still keep it going. There is a problem with the secondary pump something inside wasn't right (not their fault) but they have been communicative and will come out to fix/replace it for me. Great people ! Steven and Wendell have been very helpful"

"They advice, and had all our questions answered on sensible and affordable options. Very knowledgeable, prompt, polite, efficient, and thorough team! We are happy with their waterproofing services in our basement (fast sump pump and a grate trench with a discharge line that goes 15 feet to the outside bubbler) as well as crawl space shield installed under our addition. It works well, and Pioneer checked a month later and a year after for inspection and cleaning. A+ work and workers."

"I had an urgent repair with a release valve off of my well tank. Mr Rooter responded quickly to my inquiry and got to me that afternoon. Justin did an excellent job and went above and beyond to fix the issue. Not knowing what plumbing repairs cost, I was a bit sticker-shocked at the cost of the repair. Given the circumstances, however, I didn't have a chance to compare pricing, so I can't really comment or complain."

"Jason was courteous, professional and performed all services on schedule and st the agreed upon price. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This included capping and old sump pump, adding a new French drain around the internal perimeter of the basement, and putting in a new sump pump."

"Global Basement installed a sump pump, french drain and wall wrap system in my leaky cobble stone foundation basement. Later on I also had them install a rear sliding door at my residence. It was a pleasure to deal with them on both occasions. They always returned my calls promptly (within 24 Hours). They arrived to the job site on time on the day that they said they would (can't say that for most contractors). Best of all they left the area they worked in cleaner than they found it. Robert was upfront about any complications they ran into and layed out my options before making any final decisions. I was very satisfied with both the waterproofing and the install of the door. No leaks at all since the system was installed about 1 year ago. I recommend using this company and plan on having them do some more work for me when the time is right. This company is trustworthy as you can tell from the A+ rating. Two thumbs up."

"Good. They were recommended by Home Depot. Called other places with mixed results of details or even quotes. Old boiler was dead; apparent circuit board fried. No heat, probably for a week or two, since its a seasonal house. Pros: - Fast. Called the first business day after contacting Home Depot. Came next day for estimate, day after that started the install. They appear to be flexible being a big business. - Reworked pipes from old install; the old placement was strange. - Navien, much smaller than old boiler, hung on the wall. Instant hot water. - Nest wifi thermostat and smoke / carbon monoxide detector, since house is seasonal, I can check remotely for operation and temperature. - Did not want payment before all issues resolved. I finally called them to pay. Didn't even make a deposit. Not at all pushy. Cons: - Expensive. I probably didn't need a 95% efficient unit for a seasonal house. That also gave a condensation pump the old boiler didn't have, one more thing to break. - After 2 full days of install, I needed 3 service calls to get wiring and settings correct. Circuit tripped, main zone didn't heat well, hot water didn't function if any zone was on; these all seemed like issues that shouldn't have happened. This was with 3 electricians, 2 plumbers, and finally the manager working. - Boiler and Nest thermostat are complex with lots of settings. I felt with the problems I had to understand them more than I would've expected. The Nest has a "learning mode" I had to turn off, as I was setting the temp up and down to figure out problems, it was trying to create a schedule. I figured it out, but wasn't warned about this."

"After this summer’s unprecedented rains, our sump pump system failed and our finished basement took on water. Most basement waterproofing companies we called told us they couldn’t handle our specific issue. Curt from Real Dry Waterproofing came within a few days of our call, inspected the system and diagnosed the problem quickly. He also explained it in a way that we could easily understand and designed a solution that is much more robust than what had been in place before. The Real Dry Waterproofing team installed a new system with backup, quickly and professionally, and at a reasonable cost. We are really impressed with the expertise of this team and we would recommend them to anyone with any kind of waterproofing problem."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in West Wareham, MA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
