"Gnome landscape and his crew e-mail the time they will arrive to start the clearing process  Starting with the driveway and the porches  Later the crew returns clean up the snow on the paths to the house.   Finally the crew arrives to clear the flat roof of snow. And we can add jobs we would like done via e-mail.....which is very handy  So by time the sun came out everything was cleared of snow.... <br />"

"I cannot more strongly recommend Kurt if you need driveway work. He is incredibly knowledgable, let alone fastidious in his workmanship. Our entire experience with KP Paving has been one of extreme pleasure. Kurt recommended a slightly wider footprint for the driveway that has greatly improved both the esthetics of the drive as well as its usability for backing out of the garage. Months after the job was completed, Kurt came back to give me some advice about an accidental gasoline-damaged spot. In the conversation, he made some recommendations that I had not thought about and he will be coming back to patch the hole with the proper material. The attached photo is recent and in no way describes the state of the work after first completed!"

"It went well. His idea of mounting a slab of concrete under the substructure of the steps satisfied me that it would work. The resulting slab should support the porch steps for the next eighty-five years, doubling the current age of the porch. The contractor was very knowledgeable with this type of repair work, explaining to me what he wanted to do and how he would do it. It was a bit more costly than I expected, but one does pay for knowledge and expertise."

"We had a good experience with this contractor. He did what he said he would do and didn't charge us any more money when he hit a snag. One big snag was he found a spring underground where the septic field was going so he had to build it above ground level or mounded. This was an extra cost of 5-6 thousand dollars that he did not charge us for. All the work was performed well and on time. In some cases we needed to have him show up on last minute notice and he did. He also has close relationships with very key people in the community that made dealing with many of the tasks associated with building a house easier. He also is a builder and gave us many free tips and advise during the project as well as taking an interest in the project visiting the site once in a while to see how things were going."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Westbrook, ME

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
