"We worked with Schneider's Wilmington folks, Nick and Melinda. It started with a phone call to Melinda and Nick's first visit a few days later to obtain info necessary to prepare an estimate. He was very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He addressed some concerns we had, answered all our questions, and explained the process. We received an estimate by email the following day, and then visited their office/warehouse to select our granite. Melinda will provide as much, or as little, input as you'd like. They had a very good selection, and two or three options that could have worked for us. Nick then returned to our home a few days later to prepare the templates for the new counter-tops and to tie down the details, like edges, corners, height of back splash, type of sink (included at no cost) and location of seams. We then called Melinda to schedule the work and make partial payment. <br /> The install could have been done within about two weeks but, due to our schedule, we waited about a month. Nick and Charles did the work. We'd already disconnected the sink and emptied the kitchen drawers. Six hours after starting the work, we had new, beautiful counter-tops. The removal of the of the old tile counters was difficult but Nick and Charles figured out the best way to do it, without creating a mess or doing any damage to the cabinets, wall or floor. All we have left to do is plumb the sink (they don't do that part so you either need to hire a plumber or do it yourself if you're getting a new sink) and the transformation will be complete. <br /> We got what we wanted and what they agreed to do, without any drama, delay, or other difficulty. We couldn't be happier with the experience. <br />"

Couple of years ago, he did the granite countertops for our new custom kitchen. They had a wide selection of stone from which to choose. They measured very carefully and installed so beautifully that it is difficult to find the seam. Gorgeous results. At the same time, we had them do a granite hearth for the open fireplace (with gas logs) in the kitchen. Perfect fit even in this 1942 farmhouse where nothing is square. <br /> Flawless execution, professional, polite, easy to talk with, delivers when promised - wish all the contractors were this good. <br /> When we renovated the living room last November, we had Eric do a granite hearth for that gas log fireplace, too. Is truly gorgeous. <br /> Cannot say anything about comparative prices since we had obtained a recommendation to go to Eric and did not shop around.
