"I had a doorframe which was damaged by an animal attack which JD Locksmith and Doors fixed with a dutchman-type repair. They also replaced the weatherstripping, which had also been partially destroyed during the attack. The work was excellently and quickly done, and Darwin was communicative and flexible. "Jose Rodriguez was a basic carpenter. He used up 1/2 hour purchasing materials and I had to go with him to pay for them rather than reimburse him for the items. He had to pay him for the rest of the work which ended up costing over $300 for basic work that any handyman could have done. He left the wooden beam support with bracing and could not return until two days later and I was concerned that my large dog might get injured if she moved this. He left a heavy 2 foot 4x4 in my basement near the air conditioner; he also left the rotted roof support beam on my property which I had to dispose of. I kept the unused and cut wood that was purchased as I could cut it and re-use it elsewhere. I recently hired a real carpenter for replacement of my shed doors and he was a true skilled professional who came to my house and measured the wood needed and hardware and purchased the materials and had an assistant to help him do the work which was an excellent job. Quite a difference. Had I known I would have hired him to do the other work done previously and the cost for his work was at a much better price than the Angie's List "pro". No more Angie's List pros for me. Wherever do you find them and how do they get an A rating?"

"I couldn't have asked for a better person then Mr. McGavin to do the work. He came out to the house, to see exactly what I wanted done. His quote was very fair and reasonable. I contracted him to do the work. I had to power wash the house first, so there was a delay on my behalf before Mr. McGavin could start. One day after the power washing, I asked him to come out so we could match the color. Once that was done, he asked if he could started that same day. I said to go for it. The weather was perfect and little to no wind, ideal for painting outside. He started about 11 am and completed about 90% of the job. He would return next day and have it finished by 11 am. Job completed and the house looks new again. What a GREAT job Mr. McGavin and his son in law did. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Will definitely use Mr.McGavin again and highly recommend his services."

 Typically, the crew comes in with their equipment at the appointed time, if they are painting they move everything except the most fragile of items for you.  I had my closets painted, and that saved me time.  I could have saved more time, but like I said, I have undertaken this type of project and I wasted time packing or removing things that they were prepared to do.  Anthony, visited the house on a regular basis to inspect his crew's work."
