"Kenneth came out, on time and clean, and checked out the complete inside, outside, and under the homes raised foundation and didn’t find and termites. He also told me something that the other 4 techs didn’t mention to me. I Had no water leaks from any pipes under the house. That was great news, besides knowing there weren’t any termites under there. This will be the fifth year that they have been inspecting our house and look forward to them coming out in the future."

"We requested full termite inspection because we noticed softening of
wood trim around our basement door. (We last had termite work done 15
years ago, so we could be considered somewhat neglectful. ) Hi Tech sent
out a very professional, and pleasant, team who did an impressively
thorough job, including crawling all the way to the back of our crawl
space even where it gets extremely tight. They found a small area of
active infestation (in the part hardest to see , where we would have
never gone ourselves), and made what we felt was a very reasonable
estimate. They did all the work, (including deep injections around the
perimeter of the house because these termites burrow in from deep in the
ground) within a couple of days. They adapted the treatment plan when I
did not want a hole drilled in an area of cement. They also inspected
the softened wood and determined areas of wood trim and rafters affected
by dry rot but not termites, and offered us a referral.
This price includes annual inspections for the next 3 years, which we
have them do. We feel lucky that we caught this before we had a huge
problem like the last time.
The whole experience was highly satisfactory.

"I am very happy with their termite treatment and I also like that they return in 30 days to check to be sure they killed the termites, and will treat again if needed for free with their one year warranty. They also provide a future warranty after the first year which will treat again if needed for an affordable price."

"Excellent. Painless. We saw dropping from our wood framed sliding glass door, so we thought it had to be termites. The last time we had termites, we tented and it was awful. We were delighted that this company advertised with KFI radio or else we wouldn't have known about them. The two licensed inspectors were very thorough. They explained how each of their treatments worked. As they found termites, they showed us the droppings. When the technicians arrived (on time) to do the work a few days later, we were pleasantly surprised how considerate they were. They were efficient, knowledgable, and cleaned up after themselves. They even brought their own vacuum cleaner. We would use them again. So nice that we didn't have to move out for a few days and are confident our problem has been taken care of."

"Over the past few years, I have hired Kilter to rodent-proof my house, treat it for termites and manage my pest control. I have always had a great experience with them. Hard working guys that do an exceptional job. Their $99 quarterly pest control plan is perfect to keep things under control."

"

Once it was determined that there was a small, beginners hive, I was given options on ways to proceed (removal or fumigation).  After talking about the options, I decided to have them fumigate (due mostly  to location in crawlspace and the work needed to safely remove).  Prior to fumigating, Aloy showed me proof of honey in my crawlspace.  Once the fumigation was completed, Aloy suggested having the vents (7 of them) screened so bees would not return or a new colony begin.  My husband and I decided that this was a great idea and Aloy returned on Friday and put up screens.

Aloy is a very prompt, friendly man.  He takes the time to explain options and what process he plans to take and is more than willing to answer any questions a layman/woman may have to put us at ease.

Not only would I use them again, but I am planning to see if they do termite spraying (Wish I had thought to ask while he was at my home.)

FAQs for termite pest control service projects in Whittier, CA

Termite infestations display clear warning signs. Home inspections reveal mud tubes connecting wood to subterranean nests, visibly damaged or hollow wood, clusters of discarded termite wings, and areas where paint bubbles or buckles. These indicators alert homeowners to early termite activity and potential structural damage, signaling the need for a prompt professional evaluation.

Termites do not commonly bite humans or pets, but it is possible. Even if termites bite you, you aren't likely to notice or be bothered by it because their jaws are so small. If you have bug bites and aren’t sure where they are coming from, you may have another type of insect infestation. Find a local bed bug exterminator as soon as possible if you think you might have bed bugs in your home.

Many homeowners' insurance policies do not cover termite damage. Check with your insurance agent or review your policy to be sure, but it is unlikely that it is covered. However, because termite inspections are often free, you can get an annual inspection and treat problems affordably before they get out of hand.

Termites zero in on cellulose, so anything made of wood—siding, framing, or that backyard deck—can lure them in. Soft or damp lumber is an even bigger magnet, which is why leaks and high humidity spell trouble. Seal and treat exposed wood, fix plumbing leaks quickly, and keep crawl spaces dry to make your home less appealing to a wandering colony.

A termite bond is a service agreement that guarantees coverage against termite treatment costs and lasts for one to three years. These bonds secure zero additional extermination expenses during the covered period and allow for reactivation after expiration with a fee. This agreement protects homeowners from unexpected treatment costs following an infestation.
