"Excellent, had to build wall on either side of the door in the garage. Also put in a double hung window in bedroom. Looks like it had been part of the house forever. At end of job all clean up was done. You would never know any work was done. House cleaner after job than before. All trash removed. Extremely happy with this company. I definitely would use again."

"Iâ m so glad I picked this business for our painting project. They did an excellent job with interior painting and drywall. We needed extensive repairs to tray ceiling drywall in primary bedroom. It looks better than ever! Will definitely recommend this business to family, friends and neighbors."

"Called the office and spoke with Duane. He was very professional and honest, and informed us that installing an attic fan when we already have a roof ridge vent is not recommended. We actually already had the electricians here to do their part but ended up cancelling the whole project and will instead be cleaning the soffits. Based off of this interaction, if/when we are in need of some roof work, I will definitely be calling this company."

"We decided to go with Derek DeVivo and A+ Professional Painting for quite a few reasons:  the Angie's List reviews, his professional demeanor and the price.  Being from North Jersey, we could not always be onsite for the work and it was important to get someone reliable and trustworthy to be in our unit when no one was present.  The condo is in Cape May County.  Plenty of contractors but a rare few are really reliable.  We call them Cape Maybe's.  Maybe they show up, Maybe they don't.  We did a huge renovation and had a timeline that had to be adhered to.  Derek and his crew came through like a charm! <br /> <br /> Originally, we had planned to pain the 3 bedroom unit ourselves but after tearing down the existing wallpaper and seeing the time it took and the mess it made, we quickly decided to go with an expert.  Thanks to Angie's List, a huge weight came off of our shoulders the moment we hired Derek.  We had him do the job in 2 stages.  The first was to clean and prep the walls. (~$900)  The walls had glue, wallpaper remnants, some holes from various damage ~ in short, a mess.  Derek took it in stride and got the work done in the time he said it would take.  It was important to have him prep the walls since he would be painting them later in the renovation process.  I also (in the middle of the wall prep) asked him to fix and paint the popcorn ceilings (~$1000).  I didn't want to have any regrets that I didn't do them when I could have.  The unit was empty of furniture, it was the perfect time and Derek accommodated my request. <br /> <br /> Our next step was to have wood floors installed by a flooring company and then wood casings and trim installed by a carpenter.  After that work was completed, Derek returned and commenced painting (~$2300).  The first day of painting I got a call from Derek who was concerned that the carpenter had done a sloppy job of caulking the moldings and trim. To his credit he did not just paint the moldings the way they were.   Sloppy work translates to sloppy painting - something a perfectionist like Derek had a real problem with.  To make a long story very short, the carpenter was useless in remedying the situation and Derek stepped in to repair what he could to make the moldings look good by cleaning up the caulk so the paint would look good. <br /> <br /> When I tell you I think he went <strong>above and beyond</strong> (especially regarding the carpenter), I am not kidding.  When I tell you that it is <strong>RARE</strong> that we are able to hire or work with a person of his caliber and professionalism, I am dead serious.  Derek takes great care and pride in his work.  He even helped me decide on a wall color for the Master Bedroom the one day I went down to check on the progress.  He went and got samples on his lunch break.  That was invaluable to me.  <br /> <br /> I absolutely cannot say enough about Derek and A+ Professional Painting.  I 1000% recommend him and his services.  You will not regret the decision to hire them.  I think he and his crew are just amazing and definitely made the whole process of our renovation easier to bear. I just wish ALL contractors could have the dedication, professionalism and level of quality that he possesses!  A genuinely nice guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with. So awesome to actually be able to trust that you are getting what you pay for. You cannot go wrong!"

"Greg's crew arrived on time as promised.  The first day was spent patching and repairing areas of stucco that were damaged by a hail storm.  They came back the next day on time and applied two coats of exterior paint.  I relied on Greg to pick paint that matched the the other exterior walls and he matched it perfectly.  The end result was excellent and I am very happy with the work.  Even though this was a very small job, Greg treated it as if he was repainting the entire house.  I really appreciated his professionalism and work ethic.  I look forward to working with him on my next painting project. <br />"

"From estimate to all follow ups we had a great experience. Highlights- * Estimate was in the middle of several we received. It was the lowest one we took seriously. * All work was supervised by the family owner or foreman (also a family member). * Multiple day project - each day they were punctual and made sure to minimize disruption when possible (they were breaking concrete so a jack hammer was needed). * Clean up - very good. * Permits were posted in the window and their insurance checked out. * End product was exactly what we agreed on in the estimate. IF you have time to read a little.... Phil is a great guy. Easy to talk to and he listens to what we want. Like I said above the work went smoothly and we ended up with exactly what we wanted... A DRY BASEMENT!!! Yes! And we were no longer worried that our foundation was going to settle/ or collapse any more. They have a lifetime guarantee and we have put it to the test. Phil has come out three times since the work was completed. I am embarrassed to say that the last one was my own fault but I wasn't charged for any of them. 1. Came out to refit the sump pump drainage pipe that had a very small leak. This was the only one that I see as an actual fix. 2. I saw some very small cracks that had a bit of moisture around them. Phil came out and applied some sort of adhesive or mastic to the entire perimeter, not just the areas of concern. To be honest this was probably caused by the thing we discovered in the third visit but I still wasn't charged. 3. Phil came out again when I had a large puddle.... totally my fault. I had turned off the sump pump to do some electric work in the basement and didn't turn it back on. Phil came out and investigated trying to find the cause of the problem and was friendly and fine with it even when we found out the sump pump wasn't turned on. Throughout the whole experience Phil and his crew were professional but friendly. I have complete confidence that they will provide quality results, and if anything is discovered after the fact their warranty is proven to be reliable."

"Firstly, I did not realize this report had not actually been posted which is why it is so delayed. I have not used Angie's List in a while and saw this review as pending - I thought it was already posted. If it did actually get posted I apologize for duplication. I had work done in my house - replace a furnace and hot water heater. The workers did a fine job on the install but destroyed the old furnace in my basement leaving a huge mess and causing damage. They also made a hole in a wall while destroying it, destroyed the top step into the kitchen and dragged it across my kitchen floor. The first guy the insurance company sent out rejected the claim even while saying it looked like willful damage. Dave spoke with the insurance company and they sent out a new claims inspector who agreed I was absolutely covered. Dave was wonderful handling the whole process. He had an amazing rapport with the new insurance adjuster and got me a very satisfactory settlement. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone involved in an insurance claim."
