"My older home is 100% siding, with both aluminum and wood. GC South Star sent their project manager Gerson out to quote and manage the project and he and his team did an amazing job. House was power washed (they even did the fences around the house as a courtesy!), they removed a satellite dish, cables/wiring and patched holes, taped up windows and doors prior to spraying the house and balcony - house looks completely new! They were prompt in their estimate and scheduling, price was fantastic (I had gotten 5 estimates and theirs was the best) and I am very pleased with the work. They also did not require the balance of the payment until we had walked through and finished anything that needed fixing - only a couple of small things. Based on their work and professionalism, my parents also hired them to complete a total repainting of the interior of their home (they also reviewed them). We'd use them again in a minute and you will be VERY happy with their work! Great team!"

"Someone came out to check our interior and exterior walls. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said there were no major leaks in the mortar that were visible and the leaks were most likely coming from behind the gutter. He explained that the gutter would need to be removed, meaning I would need to hire a roofer since they do not deal with gutters or roofing and that I would end up paying for two jobs. He suggested instead that I find a roofer that would remove the gutter who was skilled enough to do the necessary tuckpointing to save us money. He also looked at the interior damage and told us the materials to buy because we said we wanted to repair that ourselves. He was extremely helpful and gave us the most economical suggestions rather than booking repairs with them and hiring a roofer. If we need work done to our masonry or foundation only in the future, I will definitely go with Hicon."

"Recently purchased 107 year old home.  One side of stone foundation had crumbling mortar joints and missing stones. Needed repaired and tuck pointed. Woody came out examined the foundation and masonry work and had an estimate with in one hour of getting my call.  Very knowledgeable about very old masonry work.  Work was completed in 2-3 days by himself and crew or 2-3.  Went to great pains not to damage neighbors newly stamped concrete walk between houses.  Clean up was very complete and the foundation looks brand new.  Definitely would hire again.  Does everything exactly as he says he will."

"Trino and his crew did an amazing job! They spent 4 days stripping and refinishing our two large mahogany front doors and they turned out beautifully. They carefully taped off the entire lower level and painted two coats to cover the existing darker paint color. The crew was prompt, tidy and professional. Trino is a nice, trustworthy and highly professional manager of his painting crew. I would highly recommend them for any painting or refinishing job inside our outside of your home or business."

"I paid for service including estimated amount of paint needed in advance to take advantage of a zero interest offer on my credit card. I was told at the time he had 2 houses in front of mine and would be working on mine within a few weeks. A few weeks go by and i hear nothing so i reach out to him asking for a schedule for the painting. No answers and after several attempts no response. I was ready to cancel the work but had already paid. I called my credit card agency and they suggested a send my request in writing. I then wrote angies list identifying my issue. That was helpful in that they were able to contact the painter and then he would promply call me. He finally finished the painting yesterday afternoon and was preparing to leave as i pulled in from work. I quickly surveyed the job and found two areas i was not satisfied with. He made excuses that it was due to my house something or other...bush in the way...weak wood and brushed it off. Had he offered to work on the spots to my satisfaction i would likely rate him higher but he was in a big hurry to leave. Not at all what i expected."

"Robert McQueen came out and gave me and my neighbor quotes to replace our roofs. The estimates were considerably less than other companies I received quotes from. As soon as the weather was good enough they began their work and completed it in a reasonable time. Included in the job were some minor roof deck repairs, added flashing where there wasn't any and some additional gutter supports where needed. On these types of jobs, I always expect the clean up to be marginal at best. Their clean up was exceptional. I highly recommend them and would definitely would hire them again."

"The is the 2nd time that Roger has painted the exterior of my house and I was happy to hire him again. It was time to repaint but their last job had lasted about 9 years and after cleaning still looked pretty good. He had a fair price about in the middle of bids received. He and his crew arrived when they said they would and they were finished on schedule. We made a slight change to color and made a major change to the front door color and sidelights and it looks great. They found some deterioration on my steel front door/sidelight set so that needed to be replaced too. They had a carpenter that did small prep items and for additional fees would do the other work such as siding replacement. They sent me to a local vendor to procure the doorset that had much better pricing than other local dealers for the same unit. I paid for the door and hardware separately but they painted the new door set inside and out. I'm very happy and would strongly recommend Roger Volz painting."
