"Tim with Tristate Service Home Repair responded quickly to my request for service and had one of the company’s employees scheduled and at my home in good time. Repair work was done professionally and using the right materials for the job. I had additional projects completed as a result of how well the original work was done. I’m impressed with Tristate Service and Home Repair and recommend them for any of your home repairs."

"I wasn't sure the steps could even be repaired since so much concrete had chipped off and cracked over the years.  But Grover Woody came out and looked it over and gave me an estimate on the spot.  Weather and our being out of town postponed the job, but we set a new timeline, and he came just when expected, did a wonderful job fixing the steps.  I'm so pleased with the result, and that I decided to check on repair rather than just go with replacement.  I couldn't be more pleased with the interaction with Mr. Woody and with the work he did.

"Exceptional communication! the house is tall, rough cedar siding, and it really hadn't ever been painted. We stained it 25 years ago, and exposure had it looking really shabby. Todd and his crew arrived on time, never stopped working until quitting time, and the house looks fantastic. thanks Todd, I would recommend you without reservation to anyone looking for a great painting experience."

"Trino and his two men worked well and got the whole kitchen done in a timely way. The work was VERY good and can recommend them for your job. This was to repkace the flooring, add a couple electric lines, run a waterline across the floor to new fridge, install new cabinetry and paint the walls! Bob"

"Robert McQuuen roofing expert, Roberto, came out on Sunday before the installation day Monday to drop off supplies and get prepared for the installation. I thought that was very professional and I was glad to go over everything with Roberto and he answered all my questions. The installation was all done in 1 day and the crew was very respectful of the property below the roof. They made sure not to damage flower beds, walkway lights, etc. around the property. My new roof looks beautiful. I'm very satisfied."

Traditional Stucco - Repair or Partially Replace

Serving Williamsburg, OH and surrounding areas

In business since 2000

"Jeremiah Scheneider, the owner of American Construction, presented us with an estimate that was far lower than the other companies we had contacted. After carefully considering the evaluations posted on Angie's List, we decided to hire American Construction for the job. Jeremiah and his crew were always extremely professional (one thing that we liked about American Construction was that Jeremiah was also on-site, working side by side with the rest of his crew). They were always very polite and the job site was also left clean at the end of each day. The job was done on time (some minor delays due to the weather of late October) and, aesthetically, everything looked nice. We waited to input our report because we wanted to see if the job was structurally sound. I am happy to say that almost two months later, we have had absolutely no problems with the quality of the job that American Construction did."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Williamsburg, OH

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
