"Chris and his crew did an excellent job. The carpentry turned out to be a larger piece of the job than expected, and they did great work. Chris looked over the house afterward and noticed a few small touch-ups he's having the crew return for. Didn't charge anything until the work was complete. My neighbor complimented me on the way the house looks now."

"Derrick and his crew were great. We had stucco repaired outside our home as well as some wood trim replaced and repainted. They did such a good job that we immediately hired them to also paint our entryway and master bedroom and bathroom. Derek helped us choose paint colors that we are quite pleased with. He and his crew were very efficient and professional. We are very pleased with the final product and would definitely recommend him to others and hire him again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Willoughby, OH

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
