Sol is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and I felt very comfortable with going ahead to have his company install a chimney liner. Greg and Gary came about 10 days later to do the installation, and were also friendly, professional and respectful of my home. They politely answered more questions and cleaned up the area better than it was before."

When they did tear thought the marker, he applied the $140 inspection fee to the trapping fee and dealt with it that way. Brilliant."

"Great thanks to Lou at Critter Detectives. Why? Because something had not worked according to plan from an earlier job they had done at my house, and Critter Detectives came back and fixed it -- no problems, no worries and done properly (within a couple days of my call). Sometimes things don't go the way they are planned and need to be fixed. Critter Detectives did that -- fixing it for me at no additional cost. Originally, the job was to put in a heavy screen barrier between the ground and the bottom of my enclosed porch. It was to be installed all around the front of the house, up to the point where the house foundation starts. The purpose of the metal screen was to stop the ground squirrels from digging in, under my closed in porch where they had set up a huge burrow. I had put in stinky stuff to keep them out and everything else you can think of. Anyway, Critter Detectives sent someone to come do it. Unfortunately, that worker didn't complete the screening installation, stopping a little short of the edge of my foundation. The result that I just noticed a couple days ago? The ground squirrels had found the gap and dug back in, under my porch. It must be quite the underground palace to live in during a cold, Chicago winter. Today, Lou and a different member of his team came and fixed it! No problem. Nice, professional and no worries. I will hire them again if I ever need something. I'm delighted."

"They were great the first year and then consistently went downhill. I ask to come when I was home because of the dogs and every time that was an issue. Then I would pre-pay for 3 -4 services and they either would not come or would do a "fast" spray. The last service for this year I got an email they were coming and then nothing. I know because I have cameras around the house. When I complained they told me they would send some to do the spray (this was a week ago) you know the bugs are really bad in a freeze? Done, will not use anymore and will not recommend."

"Michael Lyday was the technician and was very professional and courteous. He set a trap and returned the next morning to find a female raccoon. He also found she’d been nursing and captured two kits in the crawl space. He told me to tell him if I heard anymore sounds which I did when he returned the following day. He captured two more kits and told me to call him again if I heard any more sounds. There weren’t any more and I was impressed that he still called to follow up. I was completely satisfied with his humane methods of removing the animals from my property."

"I am actually very surprised Anderson asked me to review their company after the horrible experience I had. I wouldn’t recommend Anderson pest control to my worst enemy. The salesmen (his name was Elvis) promised me the world with their services (set traps, find and fill any possible entryways into the house as well as indicating where contractor services may be needed to fix any major house/foundation issues + spraying the property for bugs quarterly/whenever I want them to come and spray) and the technicians (David Orr) said "they don't do any of that stuff, they don't even give us the equipment to do that stuff, we just lay mouse traps". So they did not complete any of the services they promised to me and never gave me my money back after said they were going to do so. I had to file a fraud claim through my credit card company, and after they completed their process, they concluded that ANDERSON PEST CONTROL COMMITTED FRAUD and my money was returned. Horrible customer service. I can’t even call it customer service! After two weeks of going back and forth, and having them promise they would refund my money, the district manager (named Michael), offered to meet me in the middle and give me half my money back, for them NOT doing their job! So I went over his head to his boss, who wouldn't tell me his or her name. It took me relentlessly calling to finally get their guarantee they would pay me back for everything, but then THEY DIDN’T DO IT AGAIN! That is when I contacted the BBB and my credit card company. Don’t waste your time or money. BTW, I caught the mice with less than $3 in sticky traps from the hardware stores - try those first."
