"John and Karen are the best. Karen came out, offered examples and suggestions of work to be done. John came out, measured, ordered product and install was within weeks. Everything was as expected, John is an excellent craftsman, on time, clean, knowledgeable and thorough. He had to get creative in a few areas in our 60 year old home but was able to solve and the cabinets came out great! Highly recommend Karen and John -OBX Specialties- for any and all of your needs. KUDOS to their professionalism and integrity."

"We feel very fortunate to have found Cliff to take our newly purchased home to the next level by completing the bonus room makeover of our dreams! We contacted three other businesses for estimates but chose to hire Cliff for the job because of his knowledge, experience, and fine attention to detail. We connected immediately and he brought many ideas to us that we hadnâ t thought of before. We now have an incredible modern rec/tv room with beautiful new hardwoods that match the adjoining ones perfectly. On one side he installed a gorgeous kitchenette with a 5 foot tall ornate tile backsplash and quartz countertops, complete with two gorgeous 11 foot long wooden floating shelves that he built from scratch. On the other side of the room, he installed a 16 foot wall of horizontal shiplap (no seams!) and mounted our tv over the full wall of cabinets he installed with another quartz countertop. The barn doors at the entrance have been refaced and are now sleek and modern. Cliff and his crews nailed every element of this large project that included plumbing, flooring, electrical, and painting. Cliff has gone out of his way to meet me at stores to select stains or help me find the perfect cabinet hardware. I am very particular and he is extremely patient to ensure we get exactly what we want while taking care of our property. He will definitely be our top choice for any other home renovations in the future!"

"Cabinet refacing, new counter and sink installation will start 12/20/21 with promised completion 12/23/21. So far everyone involved have been prompt, knowledgeable and responsive. Will review again when project complete."

"M&D Property Solutions did a great job at installing a Radon mitigation system for us. Braden was awesome to work with! All done in one day and completely satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend!"

"I recently hired Garrett Baugher, owner of Baugher Home Solutions, to take care of a punch list at my home in Shelmore, and I couldn?t be happier with the experience. Garrett was quick to respond, able to work me into his schedule within just a couple of days, and handled everything professionally and efficiently. The quality of the work was excellent, his pricing was fair and reasonable, and he made the entire process easy from start to finish. It?s refreshing to find someone who is dependable, communicates well, and truly cares about doing a great job. I highly recommend Garrett and Baugher Home Solutions for anyone looking for quality home repair or improvement work."

"Did ok repair of fence but poor job on railing. Took about 2 months to get missing parts with several no shows and never fixed poor placement of balusters to my satisfaction. Left a mess at the site. Poor communication generally"

"Very professional and easy to work with."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Chester made all the arrangements, though we did some shopping around ourselves beforehand. He told us which granite supplier/installer (of those we had already visited) he preferred , and why he felt that particular supplier/installer was his preference. He also pointed us toward his preferred tile shop ... having used Chester previously for another project, we trusted his judgment on this. He met us at both the tile shop and the storage yard of the counter top supplier to not only help us pick out what we wanted (granite design, and tile color/pattern), but also arranged for the consultant at the tile supply shop to meet with us at the same time. He also pointed us toward a plumbing supplier for our sink ... again, one of those suppliers whom we had already visited as part of our preliminary research during the earliest phase of our decision-making process to undertake this countertop re-do project. Once we selected all of our primary components (granite slab, tiles, sink + faucet), a start date was set, along with an expected finish-by date. Demolition took less than 1 day. Somewhere along the 2nd or 3rd expected day of work, a day (or part of a day) was lost (can't remember why) - but that did not impact the completion of the project. I had two concerns going into the project. One was whether the existing cabinet frame would support a new, much heavier counter top. The original counter top was a laminate ... probably not 1/10 the weight of a granite top. Chester said that he would have additional structural supports installed to help with that added weight. The other concern I had was about the sink we wanted to use ... the manufacturer's specs for the size of cabinet opening we would need for the sink to fit, indicated that we would not be able to use the sink we wanted, and would have to get a smaller one, which in this case would be significantly smaller if we wanted to stay with the same sink material (granite composite). Chester was quite certain that the sink (we wanted as our first choice) would fit, even if it meant a little shimming here or there. When it came time to install the sink, it dropped right into place without any adjustments needed, as Chester had felt it would ... another example of his judgment being correct. In the end, the final cost was a bit more than what we expected, but everything looked great, Chester was always available - just a phone call away, if needed; the job was done in a professional manner, and clean-up every day left the adjacent areas of the house completely livable."
