"I chose "handyman services" but that really understates what Chris and Joe did. They set up 2 temporary walls, then demo'd a load-bearing wall (which was plaster and lath so MUCH more labor-intensive than drywall would have been), then installed a large LVL beam. They also removed trim (as needed to see the old framing) and closed in a window. They were terrific workers and I'd have them back in a heartbeat. The owner of the company was also so easy to work with. HIGHLY recommended -- I will continue to use them!"

"Certainly not the best time of year to install windows and this winter has been a bear!  There were a few delays because of the below 0 temperatures but when the installers did come, they worked very efficiently to enclose the windows quickly.  Great job. We are pleased how the windows look and the workmanship. We will not hesitate to have Patio Enclosures come back to install a few more replacement windows next year. <br /> The only reason we rated the quality a B was because we have only had them a day and can't rate performance or overall wear at this time, but they look great! <br />"

"We had Bob do a whole slew of varying tasks recently, including cleaning and repairing our siding, fixing and waterproofing the snow-warped frame of our bulkhead door, building a snow shelter for the outdoors condenser unit of our air conditioner, replacing two basement windows, and more. He was prompt, courteous, and discussed each problem and the merits, demerits, and costs of various, possible levels of resolution for our difficulties before he began work. <br /> Once he began the jobs, Bob was extremely careful to keep in touch, showed up when scheduled  (or let us know if there would be a problem and request permission to reschedule), as well as doing a nice job on all his work to date. He charged decent rates gave us receipts, and broom-cleaned up after himself as well as removing debris. He even remembered to watch out for our cat's attempts at a Houdini-esque escape when he was going in and out of the basement. <br /> Please note that the cost I listed is payment to date against a running account of hours of work done and materials either used or pre-purchased since we're still going down our list, so your prices will likely vary for the same kind of job assortment. However, given that we are very pleased with his recent work, we'll also be having Bob help us in the next few weeks with some recaulking, a bathroom drip, repainting the now-fixed bulkhead doors, replacing a garage door opener, and fiddling around with an external tap. It's pleasant to feel enough confidence in someone's efforts, dependability, and flexibility to finally catch up on our years-long backlog of fix-it problems. <br />"

"The installation went well, overall. Spectrum's personnel were knowledgeable, courteous, honest and helpful. They assessed both of the two tanks I had originally asked to have replaced and let me know that only one actually needed to be replaced at the time. I appreciated their candor and the explanation and demonstration they gave me to support their estimate that the second apartment's tank would last at least another 5 - 10 years. They advised me in advance that they might need to temporarily remove the stair treads from the two bottom basement stairs in order to manipulate the tanks as they moved the new one in and the old one out. They explained multiple options for transferring fuel between the old and new tanks together with the attendant risks and costs / savings. We decided to schedule the installation once my tenants old tank was almost empty to speed and simplify the process. I was completely satisfied with how they cleaned the installation area and replaced the stair treads at the end of the project. Only one concern arose during the project when the installation had to be delayed for several days because a funeral and another unplanned event came up for one of Spectrum's principals. Except for this delay and the resulting concern about my tenants running out of fuel, the installation went very smoothly and I am quite pleased with the result. <br />"
