Customers say: Quick response

"The only negative would be that it took a while for the owner to get back to me with an estimate of how much it would cost. It took him just a little while, and the reason was he was so busy doing other jobs. The positives were: they were on time, finished on time, the job looked good, they were clean, the area they worked in was clean when they left. It looks good."

"I could not have been happier with the work.  Bob gave a realistic estimate of when he could do it and updated me once he knew the exact date, which was right at the front end of when he thought he could do it.  He and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would and di an excellent job. They minimized the trauma to my existing lawn and the new system is perfect.  In addition, they were all very professional and friendly.  I highly recommend Sarasin to anyone looking to install, modify or maintain an irrigation system."

"We have used another company for a few years and really did not like our provider. His work was fine but he was very unprofessional - just zipping up in his car and hanging out his window to ask if we were ready to winterize. Last year he just came in and did the work and billed us without asking first - apparently he has worked at this property for years ahead of us moving in. I decided to find another provider and called three companies. Complete Irrigation was the only one who had someone professionally answering phones for the company. Not only did I get to speak to someone right away (versus leaving messages for the other 3 - only one of whom even bothered to call me back), but she contacted her serviceman who happened to be in my area. He was at my house within 20 minutes. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The charge was in line with what we paid with the other company but feel like we are in much better hands. VERY HAPPY with Complete Irrigation and will use them for all of our sprinkler needs. I HIGHLY recommend. <br />"

"I live in a heavily wooded area and have been using Acorn for over 8 years to keep power lines, driveway and house clear of potential destruction from downed trees. They have always been professional and reliable. They gave me recommendation to have a small battery chainsaw to do minor work by myself to tide me over until they can come do the big clean-up when needed; this has proved useful when smaller but still too big to move limbs have hit blocked the driveway. Would highly recommend. I have not done a cost comparison; they have been so good to deal with for big jobs I keep them as my go for any tree work I have."

"Great. Dave was the least expensive estimate I received (and I had eight estimates) and also the most professional, so his company was definitely the best value. He always returned my calls promptly (this was a rarity among the drain layers I communicated with) and left my yard and driveway (he had to cut across it to connect the drain to the town sewer) in great shape. I have visions of other landscaping projects and East Coast Irrigation will be at the top of the list when considering contractors."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Winchendon, MA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
