"We could not be happier with the job Stoneman Construction and Landscaping did for us and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to install a patio, retaining wall, brick walkways, or brick stairs. Let us start by saying that we are very particular people and we are SO pleased with the work Stoneman has done for us. And to make it even more exciting, we did not know exactly what we wanted when requesting for quotes. In general, we wanted brick walkways connecting our front door to the sidewalk and to our driveway, a planter box in our front yard, and a patio in our side and back yards. But as far as design - we were at a loss. Alberto, Evelyn, and their team took our limited knowledge and easily filled in the gaps. The mid-range of three quotes we got, Stoneman's Alberto and Evelyn put us immediately at ease. He had a catalogue handy for us to see the types of pavers he recommended. As we did more research, we sent photos of a herringbone brick pattern for the walkways, patio/retaining wall styles, and timber boxes to finalize our contract. Evelyn always responded very quickly to our emails. Alberto gave us plenty of notice that we would need to wait about a month or so to get started. When it was time to begin construction, Alberto showed up with our photos in hand, and the Stoneman team was efficient and professional. It was a huge project with lots of moving pieces and they finished 95% of it in 5 days. At one point we didn't love the width of a step and asked for it to be widened. The widened step was done within a couple of hours and looks perfect. We had a few punch list items for them to come back and take care of, which they did timely with no need for followup. After we'd done the final walkthrough, told them how much we'd love it, and paid the final installment, we noticed a small gap after some dirt had settled. Alberto came back himself to make it right. Simply put, Stoneman delivered above and beyond what we expected. Alberto and his team patiently worked with our requests within reason. Flavio and his sons and excellent crew worked as true artisans to construct an exceedingly beautiful flagstone walk and patio in the courtyard to my home in Leisure World. The work was performed at the highest level of professionalism with careful attention to detail during the sales and specifications stage of the project and through every aspect of the installation. I was greatly impressed by the way each man on the crew approached the work -- each was a shining example of great customer service -- and the artisan who placed the stones was amazing. The work was performed exactly according to specifications, plus the extras they provided such as adding a discrete drainage pipe to pull away the condensate from my air conditioning system, and everything was done exactly according to the schedule we discussed. "Initially, I was very unhappy with the job. The floor was covered in smears and I was told I would need to wipe them off as the floors dried. The grout was also still very cracked and the few repairs that had been done just had grout pushed in on top of the cracked grout. The next day I called and expressed my dissatisfaction so they scheduled the technician to come back out a week later. By the end of another 6 hours, the floor is beautiful! Cracked grout was cut out in necessary spots, new grout put in, and floors hand buffed. Very happy with the end result....just a little tough getting there."
