"These guys are AMAZING. I called 8 floor refinishing places in Westchester -- not only did they come in the cheapest, but when I told them I wanted a light, bleached look, they immediately knew what I was talking about. Many well-established places actually didn't, much to my surprise. Other places offered to bleach my yellow oak, which is very toxic, forbidden in many apartment buildings, and not necessary if you know what products to use. I sent pics of what I wanted; the guys came in & made 2 swatches on my floor. It was easy to pick the swatch, and my new floors look amazing. My kitchen is a different wood -- red oak -- and the guys treated it differently to make the 2 look more similar in the end. Thiago, the owner, is super kind & available to respond to questions. Office staff is polite, punctual and very helpful. Overall, I recommend them enthusiastically."

"Ishmael and his team are excellent. My wife and I have nothing but positive things to say. From the start, Ishmael was clear and communicative, and made great suggestions for how we could achieve the best possible outcome. He came out to give us a quote on a Saturday and by that evening, we had the quote in hand. The job started on Tuesday. He stuck to his word across everything, and we are in love with our new (and newly refinished) floors. He was creative in his approach to some challenging situations with the floors, and went out of his way to add extra little finishes to ensure we loved the final result. The crew broke an outlet during the process (totally understandable, given the huge planks of wood coming up) and Ishmael even came to the house last night at 9pm to replace it. "I had a great overall experience with David and his company. I got three estimates for this project, and David was the only one who seemed to put any thought into the solution--his written estimate was extremely detailed and itemized, so I knew what I was paying for. There were a few missed calls and cancellations with the early visits (to go over the project and match the sample), but from then on, David was very responsive and his workers were extremely punctual. They were polite, showed up on time, and took great care of my home during the work--they cleaned it up meticulously afterward, and during the project, carefully draped the area so no dust got on my belongings. Before I hired them, David also found the exact match to my flooring--other companies I called wanted me to go searching for it, but David did that leg work for me, and it was an exact match. I couldn't be happier with how the work turned out. My father in law is a retired construction manager, and he was extremely impressed with the final product and the attention to detail in the project. David also kept me updated throughout the two days of work, which I really appreciated since I was worried about the progress. He and his guys really know what they're doing, and I'm very happy with the work they did. You would never know there was a bump there, and they left my house clean (didn't leave anything behind or intrude in any way). Real professionals. "I can not speak highly enough of Alex, Dimitry, and David. They are artists who do an amazing job and charge a very fair price. We have a 1754 house, so nothing is simple. We asked them to refinish the flooring that we had in the great room. I have just completed renovating and wanted to have the 1950's floors refinished. Maybe someday we will put period flooring in, but for now, we just wanted the floor that we have to match the renovation. They blew us away with their quality and attention to detail. Alex was very patient with us and explained the whole process. In three days, our floor went from beat-up to beautiful. We were so impressed with their work, that we had them restore the historical plank floors that we have upstairs in our hallway and in one bedroom. They far exceeded what they did downstairs. "Jim and his crew were just awesome.. We were expecting just to refinish floors when we discovered that the previous sanding had left little to resand. Jim and his crew were fast to replace the floor as swell as refinish other ares in short order. "I hired Aurelio to refinish my old oak stairs, carpeted at the time. After removing the carpet, we realized installing new stairs would have been the "better" option, but my budget didn't go in that direction. Aurelio and his team did their best to repair the damage and refinish the stairs. Aurelio suggested adding molding and 3/4 rounds to hide the places that couldn't be fixed, and that was a great idea. I'm sure when the project is finished (I'm having a painter paint the front faces of the stairs white), I'll be happy with the results, but I wish I had known a few things before hiring: 1) That the "material" (which wasn't included in the quote) would be grossly overpriced (I paid $1,200 for the carpet removal, repairs, sanding, staining and poly-coating, and $550 for material) 2) That the workers wouldn't wear shoe covers to keep my existing wood floors clean 3) That some wholes wouldn't be filled 4) That vertical surfaces of the stairs wouldn't be touched/fixed 4) And last but not least: That I would have NO SAY in the finish color. I wasn't shown a sample, given a color name, or called on site before the stairs were completely stained (and impossible to re-stain, I was told). The final color is about four levels lighter than my original wood floor (and the rest of my house). I understand you cannot match colors exactly, but the difference in tone and level is very noticeable. My "new" stairs are a light-ish pine-like color; my existing floors are between American Oak and Gunstock. As Aurelio puts it "When there are no lights on, you don't notice the color difference". I'm giving the company a B for the hard work done. But I learned my lesson."
