"Under my circumstances, my faucet was broken and the sink was very old. He was right on time. He was very professional, courteous and friendly. He did it at a good price. And after the job was completed, it was absolutely beautiful. I will be using this contractor again. Beautiful job with a very good price."

"I regret giving over $80k to this contractor. Jim, Chase and all others did shotty work in my home and now their work needs to be redone by a professional. Even after things stopped working I called them back and no one came out or contacted me to fix it. My window frames and baseboards were installed improperly as well as my electrical. My flooring is lifting and new stairs installed weren’t even nailed in properly, my husband nearly broke his hip on the stairs. I wish I could take it all back and never would’ve trust them."

"Brett and Gage from Robinson Plumbing did an excellent job figuring out a well water issue for us. It wasn't an easy process and there was definitely some frustration, but with some trial and error and troubleshooting we were able to diagnose the problem and get it fixed. Highly recommend and would work with again."

"We could not be happier with the work from Mac Kitchens! Doug and his team were professional from the time we had our initial conversation right to the very end of our project. Communication was great, timeline was kept, workers were polite and meticulous, and we could not be happier with the results. Doug added a mudroom off of our kitchen, did a complete remodel of our kitchen, opened and enlarged doorways, put in hardwood floors and updated 2 bathrooms. Project ran smoothly because he knew how to manage a project even in this time of supply chain issues. We had no "surprises" because the communication was excellent. When you are going to do a project that is this big, it is so important that you have a good relationship with your contractor. Glitches will happen along the way. Doug listened and helped problem solve when some glitches occurred. He advocated for us when some work subcontractors did was not acceptable. We cannot say enough positive things about Mac Kitchens! Truly a company that exemplifies quality and professionalism."

"Had my 13Kw system installed 2 years ago. I wanted to wait to see how everything was running before entering the review. The system is working great and no animals are getting in under the panels. Solar Living made sure the panels were well protected. The design is good and was able to add as many panels without compromising the look of the roof. In 2 years, one of the Enphase IQ 7 failed and Solar Living automatically contacted me to schedule a visit to replace the unit. It's great to have peace of mind where the system is being taken care of without me maintaining it."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Wind Gap, PA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
