His quote was very competitive & he said it would be a full days work & could do the job the next day. They arrived At 9:30 & finished at 4:30. After they cleaned up, you wouldn’t have known they’d been there. He also provided a certificate of guarantee labor & materials from manufacturer. I’d highly recommend K&Y to anyone. "Robert was very helpful and patient during our consultation and was willing to take the time to understand our somewhat-complicated split-level house to make sure he was recommending the right work to be done. We ended up going with closed-cell foam under the floor in the crawl-space of a bump-out room, on the rim joists in the basement, and in the lower 2 feet where a foundation wall had been left un-insulated above the frost line. As an extra bonus, ARC Insulation was also willing/able to coordinate with the general contractor for a bathroom remodel we were doing around the same time, and foamed the exterior wall of the bathroom while the wall was open for the remodel. Also, I would say a sign of a good company is how they handle unexpected set-backs. In our case, when the foam truck arrived at the agreed-to time, unfortunately the foam machine had stopped working, and the workers were unable to start the job (truck needed to be brought in for repairs). Craig was extremely helpful to keep our project (and the bathroom remodel) on track and was able to get another truck to come out the following morning. The following morning, the workers arrived on time, did a reasonable job at protecting areas not being sprayed (all I noticed was some red spots on the carpet from when they snapped a chalk line and some overspray on the wall that would need re-painting anyways), and cleaned up after themselves when done. Shortly after they finished, there was a chemical-like smell for a few hours, which I was able to get rid of by running fans in the windows for a while. After 24 hours, there was no detectable smell. Finally, ARC Insulation was quite understanding / helpful when the general contractor for my bathroom remodel complained that the foam stuck out past the furring strips on the wall, preventing them from installing cement board for the shower. That same afternoon, two workers came to trim down the excess foam, and the shower-work was able to proceed the following day."

"I met Robert for an estimate. Robert is a straight shooter, gave a competitive estimate, and no pressure at all. I decided to go with him after another estimate I got was borderline gouging. I was impressed with how efficiently and quickly his crew worked. These guys know what they are doing. Many companies can insulate an attic but Attic Air can also replace attic and bathroom fans. Make sure your soffit though has holes in it to let air into the attic. This was an optional piece for me but the crew chief explained to me the new attic fan that was being installed would burn out if there was not enough air coming in from the soffit for the fans to circulate. I also took advantage to replace two other very old bathroom fans with more powerful Panasonic 100 cfm LED fans to take advantage of the crew being in the attic. My second floor used to be 3 degrees cooler than what the thermostat showed on the first floor, but is now 1 degree or no difference. I am hoping I won't need a separate cooler fan in the summer on the second floor. Didn't need a separate heater for winter at least or shiver unless I brought up the temperature on first floor."

"We reached out to Dan with the issue of freezing pipes and cold rooms in our old house. Dan inspected the house and proposed a plan to remedy these issues. Aside from the more traditional air sealing and insulation solutions, Dan also recommended insulating the area of our house above our soffit, which was difficult to access but that appeared to be a major insulation issue. I should add the other firms we requested quotes for did not identify this area in their proposal. I firmly believe the proposals from the other firms would not have fixed our issues. Dan worked for ~2 weeks on air sealing our attic and house, adding insulation to our attic, removing our soffit and adding insulation and reinstalling soffit. Work was done well and within budget and at a fair price. Dan is very easy to work with and takes pride in his work. We are very happy to report our pipes have not frozen and the cold rooms are no longer cold - would highly recommend Dan to others - he went above and beyond."

"George came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of the crawlspace and provided options on what can be done. The insulation work was performed by Jesus who also found and fixed two foundation cracks. Encapsulation was done by Juan's team and they all did a great job. They were able to perform all the work with a very narrow opening into the crawlspace and were also able to fit in the dehumidifier. After installation there was a minor issue with the dehumidifier and Craig came right away to fix it. Great experience and I'd definitely use their services in the future if need be."
