"The seal Waterworks put between my driveway and my garage floor makes the driveway appear much more finished. I didn't know how unfinished it looked before I hired Waterworks. It looks much better now. My only concern is that the "filler" material is still soft 3 days later. I need to call the company to find out if that is a problem or no. They were also fast. The job was completed in about an hour."

"We started in the spring. Greg came out to assess my falling apart garage. He tore down the old garage and replaced it. As it is an attached garage, it was quite a process. Everything went very well. There were some delays due to weather, but that is understandable. Overall, I am thrilled with my new garage and so happy that Greg was also able to redo the sidewalk and steps to my front door. Initially we contacted him to replace some 65yr old windows, and he was the only contractor to bring to our attention that we had hail damage on the window wraps, siding, gutters, and roof. His experience really helped us thru the insurance claim process and it ended up being a huge cost savings for us. We were so impressed with his customer service, we decided to have him convert our 1-season porch into a 3-season porch, install tile flooring, replace some doors, and paint the interior and exterior of our home. "We purchased an older home, built in 1921, in the Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul. It was in terrible condition -- a "fixer upper." It was the ugly duckling on the block. It was in bad need of new siding and windows throughout. We knew about Hoffman Weber (HW) and Jason Iwig from previous dealings at our old house in Bloomington. Those dealings resulted in a separate five-star review on Angie's List. So, when HW's estimate for windows and siding came back in the same ballpark as a couple of other very reputable companies, we immediately retained HW as our contractor. Jason met with us immediately after we committed to the project. He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes not only to the various siding products available but especially with respect to customizing design and aesthetic, with great attention to details like jut-outs, standard siding for lower and shake siding for upper, and decorative corbels etc. He was also able to provide several financing options from cash to a ten-year loan with relatively good rates. He was able to approve us on the spot. Jason then handed the project management over to Tim, who served as the foreman of the project by making regular visits and ensuring the crew had more than enough material on site to get the job done. Like Jason, Tim is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and professional. He was always available to answer questions or address concerns, and always in a satisfactory (reasonable) manner. I'm sure all HW installers are great, but we feel we got particularly lucky with our installer crew, led by Boris. He was meticulous with his attention to detail, right down to the replacement of cable tv cords along the house. Everything had to be perfect with this guy. Yes, this meant a somewhat slower completion time, but I'll take slightly slow and meticulous over fast and sloppy any day. HW is the party that ultimately pays for this process, but it doesn't seem to bother them because our satisfaction always seemed of primary concern for them. Our 1921 house at 1116 Saint Clair Ave was an outlier in the neighborhood when we moved in, for all the wrong reasons. Now it's an outlier for all the right reasons. With Jason's help and artistic flair, we decided to use Hardie siding in the color Countrylane Red, with Arctic White trim. But we chose Birch Bark for the shake siding up on top, with a jut-out supported by corbels. We're happy. Our new neighbors are ecstatic. And passersby on Saint Clair stop to tell us how impressed they are. We really couldn't be happier with the job Hoffman Weber did for us, and we very sincerely hope those who read this review consider them for their project. Thanks."

"They were in and out in 1 day :). looked amazing, they always kept my yard neat (not cluttered with tools laying around everywhere). Always were very professional. there are 100 good things I could say about these guys. I'm absolutely using them for any concrete work I need done in the future. (Maybe a stamped and colored patio :0) my neighbors loved the look of our driveway and the speed that they got it done so much that both neighbors had their driveways done in concrete by the same crew."

"Paul and his partner were great to work with, they arrived at exactly the time agreed upon and worked tirelssly, no breaks moving quickly from one project to the next for 5 straight hours. Although DIY home repairs is not their primary work (carpentry) they took it all on and completed more than I expected to get done in this period of time.
They were completely professional, did quality work and were easy to work with. Paul was very open about not doing work he was not licensed for - plumbing and electrical, but provided advice on how work could be done. 
I will use Paul and his team again and would highly recommend him to others!

"Initial estimate was for the concrete tear out only. Emailed Ross for a side visit. He came the same day. Quoted $1700 ($1200 for 4 inch). After the tear out was done, I asked him to quote the class five preparation. We agreed on $1350 and the work was done the next day. Everything was done on time. He left the work side and street clean. Everything is ready for me to put the pavers down. Very nice to work with. Good job."

"The owner, Thomas Burke, was great to work with in all respects.   To start with he specified concrete that was stronger than what I wanted and this really pleased me.   It told me he was willing to go above and beyond my requirements or minimums.   He started with grading and removing dirt so he could build a retaining wall to hold back the grade for a new driveway.  The guy he sent out worked very hard and did a near perfect job on the new wall.   Like any construction project there were a few unknowns but he worked around these problems.   Then he poured the new garage addition slab and finished it for me.   Unfortunately it started to rain just before the final finish hardened so they had to redo some areas.  Didn't come out quite as good after the rain but very acceptable.   Then they immediately poured the driveway slab.   No new showers so this came out perfectly.  The concrete company sent out the second truck too soon so there was not enough time between pours to really get set.   I think this second pour therefore did not quite get the grade Tom wanted. The driveway slab was pitched to drain water to match an adjacent existing slab and this did not quite work out.   I have a small area on the new drive slab that holds water after a rain.  It was a tough job to slope it right and it is within a quarter inch of draining.   Like I said they were still grading the driveway when the truck showed up and I really think this cause the slight glitch.
I have some more work to do next summer and am really looking forward to having Tom back knowing I will get a good price, a good job, and quick service done right.  I would highly recommend ACT Contracting to anyone.
