Paul explained everything to me, and was polite and friendly, and honored the verbal quotation. I plan to have him back in summer of 2023 to replace the metal exhaust on the roof."

He took care with his equipment, acted professionally, asked questions and listened well, and took great care with his ladder to be gentle with our house. He also took pictures of the damaged and rusted chimney cap so I could see the extent of the damage (since we can't climb to the roof). He was efficient and finished the project in less time than quoted. Finally he checked in before leaving to walk through his work, answer question and what to look for in case of future problems."

"I found the Angie's List deals to be extremely misleading and would not ever purchase anything from Angie's List again.  They make it easy to purchase, but good luck trying to figure out how to request a refund via their website or telephone. I can't really speak to the quality of this company's work since they didn't do anything.  The gutters that were offered via the Angie's list deal appeared to be extremely high quality, but they were also extremely expensive.  This is my fundamental problem with Angie's List: if your going to sell me a $1.00 coupon off of a bag a Doritos for 10 cents that's a good deal right?  But then after you buy the coupon you learn that the bag of Doritos you must buy cost $10.00.  Lucky you, you get to pay $9.00 for a bag of Doritos.  $9.00 for a bag or Doritos doesn't feel like such a great deal anymore.  Now mind you, in this particular case these were awesome Doritos and were arguably worth $9.00, but I'm coupon shopping on Angie's List because I want a good quality product at a reasonable price,don't you think that that if I wanted caviar flavored Doritos I'd be shopping at a much different store?  But by the time you bought a coupon for a product you can't afford...too late.  Now your left with a choice of either trying to buy a product you can't afford, trying to figure out how to somehow get your money back, or your just SOL.  It wasn't really this contractor's fault, but the whole experience with Angie's List was in my opinion sub-par and misleading.  It is probably not fair to rate the contractor a "C", but Angie's List won't let me delete the review and I can't give them an "A" because they didn't do anything.  I don't want to give them an "F" because it is really Angie's List I'm unhappy with, and so I'm left with the compromise of a "C"."
