"Gary is incredible - very detail oriented, careful, and really listens to the customer to be sure that the work is done well and within budget. The issue I called him for was a few pieces of siding on our house were bowing outward. We got two other estimates - one very low and the other using scare tactics to try to get me to redo the siding on the whole house. Gary was honest in that the existing siding was generally in good shape and did not need to be replaced, but the cheaper estimate I received would not solve the problem because, due to where the problematic piece of siding was located, the scope of that work would not fully address the issue. He was able to carefully take off the existing siding from the roof down to the troubled spot and diagnose the problem (the nails used to hold the siding in weren’t long enough so the siding was only nailed into insulation, not wood). He had to replace some wood and use some new siding after tossing some warped pieces but other than that the job went off without a hitch. He had previously done work on my gutters and roof so this is the third job I’ve hired him for and, should I need anymore exterior work done in the future, he will always be my first call."

"Rob (contractor) and the crews worked in a timely manner to remove old cedar siding and install vinyl siding and trim. Also a crew installed covered gutters. The job was completed in 5 days because the weather was mild. If Rob was not pleased with a part of the job, he had the crew redo it. They were responsive to our needs and concerns, quality work, honest interactions, and worked steadily to complete the job in a timely manner. "I hired this company twice. First, a few years ago (2017 or so ) for siding. In 2021 I had them redo our roof. They were excellent. On time. Clean. Professional. Nice. They also had someone do some painting and minor carpentry for me. I didn't price check on the second project b/c they did such a good job on the first. They traveled from NJ to Westchester, NY to do my projects. HIGHLY recommend. I've had no issues with the siding and no problems with the roof since the work was completed. "Myself and my father has used MJA Contracting for two roofs in our houses in Jersey City. Both times Manuel and his team has taken good care of us and installed good roofs. At first I thought the price was a bit high but after I saw the amount of time, material, and workmanship that they completed I thought the price was very fair. Roofs are alot of work as I learned. What I especially liked about Manuel is he did not go cheap and install a torch down rubber roof. He installed a rubber EPDM roof instead. If you have a flat roof, do yourself a favor and install a rubber EPDM membrane and make sure to contact Manuel. He also rebuilt our chimneys very good as well. Excellent masons! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!"

"Every home owner eventually needs (or will need) a new roof. Expense is one of the driving factors that usually determines the vendor BUT a more economical long range decision should be made based on quality. Quality of product, installation and service are essential components of this decision. This is why we chose to go with Power for our new roof and gutters. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. (The ONLY minor problem for the ENTIRE process was an oil stain from their air compressor on one of our paving blocks.) With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer! Note that our project included house (2050 sq ft) replacement of all substandard 3/4” roof decking with code 7/16” decking (2080 sq ft) and also included reroofing of standalone shed (100 sq ft) minus decking replacement/gutters."

"Materials were ordered swiftly, and the team organized their subcontractors to complete the sequential work in as little time as possible. Most importantly, Sam, Anthony and project manager Adryan were on site every day coordinating the work and reachable within a moment's notice. In a very short three and a half weeks in August, the Universal team completed the complex plan.  New Pennsylvania fieldstone masonry work at the base of the home was installed first, including a new retaining wall.  A brand new timber tech rear deck was built.  Twelve new windows were installed.  All new James Hardie siding was installed and a substantial nine by twelve foot front portico completely transformed the front of the home.  Large scale reno is inexorably daunting, but the Universal team was communicative throughout the process. Any minor tweaks required or requested were met with prompt action to ensure the project was completed to expectations. We recommend URS for any exterior renovations. TY."

"I would highly recommend Harvey and his crew. They are professional, courteous, and punctual. I originally called for the leaks in my bathroom. This revealed the problems with the upstairs bathroom. Harvey gave me options. I chose to have the plumbing replaced and his crew did it magnificently. He installed a new sink, new plumbing for upstairs shower/faucet/drain, tiling, drywall. In my master bathroom, new plumbing, drywall, bathroom exhaust fan and painting. Additionally, I knew I had roof issues but Harvey showed me the extent to which the roof was in disrepair. I did not know I had shingles missing and that there was so much shoddy patchwork done by the previous owner. As a first time homeowner who will live in my house for at least 20 more years, I chose to redo my entire roof (it was last done in 1994). My roof looks amazing now with no exposed wood or damage. The roofing was done in one day. Amazing. They also cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Harvey and his team. I will definitely use them again if I have any more house repairs."
