"We contracted with Mottern about 10 years ago to have a retaining wall built to replace a poorly constructed wall holding up the driveway. The wall was block on footer and it has held beautifully. When we original had the wall built, we decided against covering it with decorative stone. Jeff told us at the time that they would come back and add it if we ever changed our mind. Here we are ten years later deciding to add the stone. We called Mottern because the wall they built has had no issues (previous iterations of the wall had plenty of issues). The stone covering job was done quickly and professionally and looks great. If you're looking for quality, Mottern is for you."

"Another great job by CM Hardscape! This is the third time we have hired Bill Bitto's company for a hardscape project in our backyard which is primarily a hill. This time we decided to extend the deck and have Bill's crew build a sitting level retaining wall to match the existing structure. Rene was the supervisor and we easily worked with him directly the entire time. Being on a hill, drainage can be a problem which was addressed with drainage pipe and weep holes. Rene guided his crew with good attention to detail in ensure the final project was exactly what we wanted. We talked with Rene daily and he was readily available to answer any questions taking time to explain the process. There were a couple of areas, we were not sure how to handle, particularly on the ends, and he offered creative solutions that turned out very well. The wall was beautifully matched up with the deck which was put in first. We are very pleased with the overall results."

"We hired Diversified Contractors to install a new patio, walkway and retaining wall at our home during the summer of 2017. The job consisted of removing an existing concrete patio and then installing a new patio and a 60-foot walkway using Westchester pavers. In addition, a 25-foot retaining wall incorporating a new PVC drainage system was installed under an existing deck. The job required a significant amount of landscaping and regrading of our backyard. Diversified Contractors completed the work on schedule and the men who performed the installation were courteous, professional and excellent craftsmen. The manager/owner came by each day to review the progress of the work. He was always accessible to address our questions. We are extremely pleased with the service and could not have asked for a better contractor to perform the work. The quality and design of the resulting patio, walkway and retaining wall have exceeded our expectations. "They did an excellent job repairing stone veneer on a retaining wall that had been damaged. They did a good job matching the repair work to the undamaged stone and it looks great and you can't tell it was damaged. After the job was complete they cleaned up the job area. They weren't the lowest price quote I received for this small job but they showed up and got the job done."

"The cost was reasonable and the final quality was satisfactory. Ran into some bumps on the way: The patio was intended to channel rainwater away from house. Initially, the way it was installed, it pooled right near the house. Upon my request, the part of the patio that pooled was picked up, extra material was added and it seems to be draining correctly now. The other problem was that the terraced garden beds were filled with the material removed from the back yard despite the fact that they were going to be gardened in. I had to request that the material be removed so I could get topsoil in. First Impressions quoted doing that for 250$. I found a local place that would deliver for 92$. When First Impressions heard that, they dropped the price to 120$. Overall, the job ended up being satisfactory, but I wasn't impressed with communication and I'm not sure it would have been done correctly had I not been checking on everything daily and requesting that things be done according to the contract.

"I needed a wooden fence repaired on short notice. Edin responded to my Angi's List posting, looked at the fence and 2 gates to repair, then gave me a good estimate on the work. Initially I thought the estimate to be a little high however, looking at the detail he offered, the estimate was reasonable. Edin adjusted his other projects to take care of the fence as the timing was critical. When completed, he replaced one section of fence, re-set another post that was moved over the years by the yard (he re-set the post in cement) and connected the loose sections to the post correctly, repaired two gates that needed cross-boards replaced plus re-set the posts for the gates, and replaced hinges and latches on 3 gates. All of this was done in one day and turned out exceptionally well. I wish I had engaged him last year! Holy Land Landscaping is top-notch. They cleaned up the yard when finished and truly did a very professional job. Thank you Edin and team!! (and by the way, the price was quite reasonable for the work and quality provided). Edin and his team are wonderful to work with!"
