Consistently showed up. Corrected what the previous two contractors had messed up to bring to high quality look and structural integrity. I have recommended to people needing work done or house built and will continue to recommend to anyone I can. Wellllllll worth the money I spent. "Roberto did a great job on the overlay and a fair job on the staining. The sealer used does nothing to repel stains from leaves, grass, dirt, water or anything else that lands on it. Roberto suggested using a mixture of Dawn dishwashing liquid and water and to scrub with a brush on the stain. However, this was completely ineffective on most stains. Also, there is a permanent circular mark from something that was set on the concrete while the sealer was being applied. After paying $4000 + for this job, you would expect the sealer to repel stains and to not have a permanent circle on the concrete. Very disappointing. As an added note, Roberto suggested buying a rug to cover up mistakes which occurred during the staining process."

"The deck building went well I think. It took 2 days for Blake and his work partner to complete the deck. They worked pretty fast; came in the morning and worked until about 4:30 or so. I liked the building materials that they used; seem to be very good quality. I did misunderstand however, how the steps would be finished, as Blake said he had quoted me a basic deck model which would not include a board on the front of each step, but the steps would rather remain open. I said that I had not understood that he was only quoting me a basic model, and I did want the steps to look more finished. So Blake got right on it and said that he would add boards to the front of each step, and he was not going to charge me for the labor; only the materials. I insisted on paying him something for the labor however, since he completed the steps the way that I wanted them later that same day. The end result is that I am very happy with my deck. Blake worked very hard to earn my business and was willing to match a little lower quote that I had received from another company. He actually called me a number of times before I decided to go with Maxey Construction, in an effort to earn my business. I would definitely use his company again for some future projects that I have inside of my home."
