"Wow! Unbelievable! If we ever have a water problem again, Pioneer will be the only waterproofing company that we call. We were getting some water in our basement which has a stack-stone foundation and radiant floor heating. We interviewed three companies and were particularly concerned about a solution that would stop the water without compromising the radiant tubes that were in the floor. Initially, Pioneer recommended a baseboard system that would run along the outside of the wall. Upon inspection, Mike Oliveira discussed a traditional drain to sump pump solution. We reiterated our concern about puncturing a tube in the floor and Mike assured us that he and his team would hand chisel potential problem areas to avoid the tubing. Moreover, this solution would save us roughly $2K and give us a lifetime guarantee vs. a 25 year guarantee on the baseboard system. The team showed up on time, cleared a 50' span of concrete by Noon, uncovered two sections of radiant tubing without puncturing the line, installed the moisture barrier, sump pump and new concrete by 4 p.m. They had to drill through a hefty header board to connect the pump line to an existing drainage line that carries water away from home and that was completed by 5:30 p.m. Mike came back in a week and we tested the fix using free-flow from our sprinkler system -- it worked perfectly. Subsequently we've had some consistent spring rain and absolutely no water in the basement. The team (including sales, service, billing, installation) was professional, courteous and available when we had questions. They saved us money, fixed our problem and provided a lifetime guarantee. "About 2 months ago we had the techs from Diffley Drain Service out. At that time they ran a snake through the drain and pulled out a small root 75 feet down the line which at the time seemed to clear the backup which was manifesting itself in our basement utility sink. Thirty-three days later the problem manifested itself again and to their credit even though it was three days over the warranty period they came back out without any fuss. They snaked the drain again this time going out 105 feet without clearing anything. Now here is where things get a bit dodgy, rather than add a 2nd reel of cable onto the snake (or really even mentioning it) to enable them to snake further the tech tells my wife that they will need to install an external access point in the yard so they can snake further down the line and that will cost $3000. We say we'll think about it and explore other options. Once we watched some videos and educated ourselves about the matter we ended up hiring a different drain service. The new company we hired used 2 spools of snake to be able to go further down the line and cleared a bunch of roots 140 feet down the line. BUYER BEWARE with Diffley Drain Service they seem to only give you part of the story in order to seem credible. I will say that Diffley comes quickly and promptly which when you have sewer backup issues is a positive and they are initially reasonably priced but educate yourself about your problem or you will get taken advantage of."

Each time it has been with different items: I have had my kitchen remodeled,  a deck torn down and rebuilt, a new roof put on, old fencing disc arded, and a yard cleanup. The only difference in pricing was for the roofing and even though ti was more money it was STILL CHEAPER than a dumpster!!! I don't know how these guys do it, but they pickup on time, without issue andfor the cost quoted. I have turned each of my contractors onto them - now they are using them.
