"Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend this company."

"These people are nothing but rotten no good theives. Chris took a down payment of $2100 from my parents to get materials for a fence 2 months ago, now he will not come do the work. They have called him and every time he says he will be there a specific day he never shows up. My parents asked for their money back since Chris obviously wasn’t going to do the job and he said no. If you want your work to actually get done and not be screwed over go with another company. GFY Chris"

"My husband and I built a custom home using Brian Burnett and his company under Burnettbuildingllc, Burnett Building, LLC and @burnettbuildingllc- and it was the worst experience we could have ever imagined. My hope is that anyone considering hiring this company for a build will read this review in addition to further research. Any past clients of this company can be found through the Monroe Tax Assessor's Office under building permits. We were contacted by one of his clients who had the same concerns and unimaginable experience we did. We hired Brian Burnett for a custom build at premium price with the understanding we would be getting a premium built home. The craftsmanship of the home from the frame work to the trim and paint are horrible, at best. We saw Brian the first three months of the build- but began to slowly not see nor hear from him once we began to find issues. There were weeks and months we would not hear from him, and our build went 4 months over the contracted date which forced us to rent. In addition, we received invoices for services that were often double our agreed price. The invoices came in the form of texts and e-mails- with no explanation as to why the major difference in cost. We asked for the invoices for everything we paid for, and Brian gave us a hard time. He finally agreed and took pictures of the invoices and uploaded them to a jump drive- but then charged us $7.50 (for the jump drive). The only time we could get him to talk to us or even reach out was when he was wanting money. Now that we are in the home we are finding so many things wrong- and are now fixing them ourselves. The work done to this house is some of the worst we have ever seen. This whole experience with Burnett Building, LLC has been an absolute nightmare- and we don't have much to brag about with this house. It is mediocre at best! Please do your research on this company and Brian Burnett, save your money and find someone who is capable of giving you a well built home for your money."

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Yatesville, GA

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
