"Mark is an excellent contractor. We needed grab bars in our shower. He help us decide what would work best for us. He did a quality job with the install. His cost was very reasonable. He is also a VERY good general handy-man. We will definitely use him again"

"<p>At first I was a bit leery of handing out a good size check to get things rolling. My fears soon dissipated. Dale is very professional; he lets you know what will be done when and he keeps to it. He responds within minutes if you call, text or email him. I work out of town each week so a lot of communication was with phone, email, text and sending of pictures back and forth.</p> <p>All that means a lot, I do not to worry if and when things will get done. He may be a bit more expensive than other contractors...but you get what you pay for.</p> <p>I had a few issues after install, cracked toilet bowl, lighting issues. He was responsive and fixed all immediately. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>I whole heartily recommend him and I intend to use him in the future.</p> . <br />"

"We hired Dean Voss and Sons Construction to do a major remodeling of our home. We could not have been happier with the process or result. Dean and his two sons are very pleasant to work with. When I called with a question Dean would either answer the phone or call back quickly. If I want something changed or revised, Dean would say okay and just do it. They cleaned up at the end of each day and were always respectful of our home. The quality of materials and work was excellent. We got three quotes for the job and Dean was very competitive."

They came recommended by my realtor and I felt that CBS delivered. I would highly recommend this professional company."

"Gene responded almost immediately to my first email inquiry, which resulted in a meeting at my home to view our basement space. He asked great questions in order to determine our needs and was able. He was able to offer several options and ideas while there and was also able to give opinions as to what changes would meet code or not. I was pleasantly surprised when Gene sent me two versions of plans within days of our meeting. The drawings are thorough and will greatly help in my quest to get estimates from contractors. <br />"

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Young-america, MN

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
