"Everything went great.  Abel installed some screening sandwiched in plaster (or maybe joint compound) to create a new, clean, strong, crack free ceiling.  3 years later the ceilings still look like new!  If I could afford it, I'd do every other room in the house!

"I signed up for an Angie's List deal for roof tune up and inspection for $99.  They arrived a few minutes before the agreed upon time and explained price for replacement boots due to my concern about a leak around 3 inch pipe.  I feel the $150 per boot was a little high, but due to the deal, overall price of repairs seemed reasonable.  Overall very professional.  I would recommend to anyone needing roof repairs or remodeling (their main line of business).

"We contacted CYM Gutters and they were wonderful coordinating with me and my roofer who was redoing all of our shingles. They arranged to come out a few days after our new roof was in place and did a quick job of replacing and upgrading our gutters. Their pricing was very competitive, and I found them to be knowledgeable. I love working with small businesses as the owners are investing in making sure you are happy. They provided guidance and recommendations as to where we could make improvements to avoid issues we had dealt with for years. We got larger down spouts installed and have not had issues since. Very happy with the entire process and enjoyed working with Pedro and his team."

"Karla came soon after I contacted them and listened to what I wanted done, including some carpentry repairs. I gave her a checklist of what I wanted including upgraded paint. She gave me an estimate immediately. A large crew of painters came and spent one day prepping the house with pressure washing, scraping, caulking and doing the minor carpentry repairs plus one repair that turned out to be very difficult. The crew returned the next day and got all the painting done. Rafael was persistent in getting the difficult repair completed and also attached new screen to our porch. The crew worked hard all day plus later than their usual quitting time to get the job done before the rain and wind of tropical storm Michael appeared. Everything was cleaned up after finishing. The house had a full day to dry before the storm. We have a brick house so they were painting all the windows, trim, shutters and doors. The price was significantly lower than other quotes and the work was excellent. We would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Youngsville, NC

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
