"After I submitted the project, George called me within a few hours. He scheduled an appointment — an actual time, not a range — the next day and arrived on time. He reviewed the proposed work with me, pointing out various aspects of it that aligned with another proposed contractor. He then gave me an official written quote on the spot. It was lower than quotes, and it was for a definite amount, again, not a range. The foreman came by the next day to get the specifics so he could buy the necessary materials, and work commenced that afternoon. The project took three days, slightly under what they anticipated. The team arrived and left on time, and the areas were tidied up each time. They were also professional and friendly. Unfortunately, they discovered something that had not been done during the home’s original renovation, which George and Jim discussed with me. It was beyond what I wanted to do at the time, but we were able to settle on something that they thought would get the job done and I could agree to. They were excellent at explaining various aspects of the job like this, and I felt comfortable with their recommendations. They also accomplished additional two small tasks, one of which I mentioned I needed to do at a future date, and one that they observed. Both were done under the original agreement, which I appreciated. I definitely plan to use Louise August (a family business) for any projects that arise within their areas of expertise because it was a very good experience."

"The company goes out of their way to ignore reviewing HOA policy. They installed doors that were not up to code based on HOA policy. More concerning for a small $1,000 balance of a $5,000 job, they threatened while saying good luck to me....to file a mechanics lien on my $2,300,000 paid off house. IT IS AGAINST STATE LAW TO FILE A MECHANICS LIEN AGAINST A RESIDENCE UNLESS THE VALUE OF THE JOB INCREASES THE RESIDENCES VALUE BY 15% OR MORE. They are threatening and go around every legal corner to get what they want including their bogus sales pitches."

Dmitry and the team were eager to address our questions and concerns and work with HOA to obtain necessary approvals. After the work was completed, Dmitry helped us to address our neighbors’ concerns and come to a resolution at no additional cost to us. While on the site, Dmitry found an issue with our foundation, proposed a solution and executed the project promptly. Dmitry followed up with us in a couple of months to see if we had issues or questions. We are enjoying our new deck!"

"I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent retaining wall replacement project completed by John Krause Construction (JKC) at my property. After reading positive reviews and receiving an estimate that, although over my budget, seemed reasonable for the work involved, I made the decision to hire JKC. Unfortunately, this has proven to be a significant mistake, and I am left extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the overall experience. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Unprofessional Behavior: The crew exhibited unacceptable behavior while working on my property. Not only did I witness them disposing of bodily fluids on-site, but they were also disrespectful and dismissive. when I raised concerns no response was received. I now smell urine when entering and exiting my garage. 2. Unresponsive Ownership: I have attempted to reach out to the owner multiple times to address these concerns and resolve the issues, but my messages have been met with silence. This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and has only added to my disappointment. The owner refused to speak on the phone since the owner was made aware of the call being recorded. 3. Property Damage: During the construction process, my property was left damaged in multiple areas. This included e.g., landscaping destruction, equipment damage. Personal crew members vehicles being driven through my yard leaving deep tire marks damage. 4. Subpar Quality of Work: Despite the high cost of the project, the final result does not meet the standards outlined in the estimate or contract. No proper grading was completed. Every time it rains pools of water sits in front and behind the wall. The response received was. “we have passed all inspections.  There will be some water pooling while it is settling still. Plus the fact of the hard rain today, it will happen.” The wall has been completed for 2 months. Given the extensive problems, stress and anxiety I have faced. I do not recommend John Krause Construction."

"Spent ~$50,000 on a new roof with them. Thought everything went well. Years later discovered that they had not sealed the cricket on the chimney well enough. Discovered water coming in and eventually rotting the wallboard, studs, etc. Had to replace entire wall. Called them about the issue, they sent a rep. He said it was the chimney's fault, it was leaking. Not so, opened the wall and ceiling and had another roofer come spray water on the chimney, nothing, no leak. Then sprayed water on the cricket, water came in. Exterior Medics would not admit any fault. Had it repaired, no leak, no problem since then. Had recommended to a friend, never gain, he also had a bad experience. DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT QUALITY WORK AND A COMPANY HAT STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK."

"STAY AWAY!!!! This Company cancelled the initial estimate on me 3 times making me drive 90 minutes to the property each time. They finally showed and gave me the typical hard sell "if you sign the contract today..." They gave us a quote so far over market value we should have walked away. But we agreed because of the "70 year history in the industry" We thought we were buying a service from a company with integrity. They took an immediate $18K deposit on a $55K project. I know, shame on me for agreeing to such an amount. We knew we were over spending, but... One month later, they simply cancelled the contract without explanation and without any work on the project. This contract was binding on us but, in their words, was not binding on them because "there's a clause in the fine print that allows them to cancel" THEY STILL HAVE OUR MONEY and I STILL NEED A ROOF Stay away from this company. No integrity No responsibility Unreliable Over priced Will take your money and keep it"

"We met with Ryan and Pete who were both extremely professional and knowledgeable. They met with my husband and I discuss new windows for the main floor of our single family home. We have a toddler and newborn and Ryan helped keep our toddler occupied and was very understanding and patient as we had to multitask in taking care of our kids while also discussing the window project. We were impressed by their warm, genuine approach which is very different from a typical salesperson trying to get you to go with their product. You could tell they truly believed in the company, the goals and values, and the product/services they provide. Due to personal reasons we weren’t able to invest in the project right now but we will 100% be contacting Ryan in the future and using Peak for all our future window/roofing needs. When you find a good, reliable company like Peak you want to make sure to spread the word and we will be recommending them to our family/friends/neighbors who need any projects done in their homes."
