"The process was great. I picked a granite slab from a granite supplier. Stone Design had given me 4-5 granite suppliers to choose from. Once I found the slab(s) we liked, Stone Design quoted a price for the granite slab (62 sq ft required), including installation. Their price was very competitive with other vendors and included a coupon for Angie's List customers, which took $300 off the original price. The measurement and install was right on schedule. We did have an issue with the granite island after install were there was epoxy lines from the manufacturer of the granite slab. We scheduled a date to resolve the issue about 1 week out from the install. After taking the island back to the shop, they cut another island from the remnant that was left. It was a 3 day turn-around for resolving the island issue which was great. Stone Design exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them as your countertop vendor."

"<p>Our first contact with Granite Direct was at the 2016 Spring Home & Builders Show.  We left them a rough sketch with measurements and within a couple of days we received a quote.  Carolyn sent us the names and addresses of their granite suppliers and we went and put together a short list of selections.  This was all new to us as we've never had granite counters installed.</p> <p>We received a second quote from a different company which was a little less than the Granite Direct quote.  But they were very slow to respond so we felt that Granite Direct would give us better customer service.  A lower quote doesn't do much for you if the customer service is sub-par.</p> <p>The measurement and installation went great.  The techs were prompt and professional.  There is one thing I would do different,  and this is totally on me and nothing to do with Granite Direct.  We bought a single hole faucet and also wanted to install the soap dispenser so that would require cutting two holes.  We've never had either of these before.  When the tech was in taking the measurements he asked me how far apart I wanted the soap dispenser from the faucet.  Instead of grabbing my faucet and getting a good idea of what it would look like installed I told him that 6 inches should be enough.  Everything was installed just fine but we probably should have had an 8 inch separation.</p> <p>The other thing we learned is that granite in Columbus moves fast.  A slab that you see one day will be gone two days later and then you might be starting over in the selection process.</p> <p>Granite Direct was great to work with.  Carolyn is very friendly with a positive attitude.  We would definitely use them again.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"This company was excellent to work with, from start to finish. My husband and I knew we needed to replace our terrible avocado-green laminate in the kitchen, and got several estimates from different companies. I found this company via an Angie's List deal, and read all of the reviews I could, then initiated contact prior to purchase.  <br /> Brad was fantastic -- he answered all of my (many!) questions, and took a lot of time out of his day for someone that wasn't even a committed customer yet. When the questions were all answered to my satisfaction, I was ready to purchase the deal...only to find that it was gone from Angie's List. Regardless, he still honored the deal. They have a similar deal still listed on their website.  <br /> Things to know -- the $1499 special doesn't include ALL granite. I've read a few negative reviews about that. Their website states very clearly the colors that are included, depending on what granite supplier you choose. If you don't like any of those colors, I believe you can upgrade the granite for an additional fee. The granite we wanted was included on the list, so we were fine, but just  keep that in mind. And -- it's not the granite supplier's job to know where the "special" granite slabs are located in their warehouse. We used Mont Granite to select our slab, and they were fantastic, but we took the responsibility of finding the granite listed in the special, and you should do the same. <br /> Also, just FYI -- if the deal ever comes back on Angie's List, the list of colors included is slightly different than the deal listed on their website, but they WILL send you a list prior to purchase.  <br /> Our granite came with our selection of a stainless steel sink. We selected a 60/40 sink and are thrilled with our choice. Of note here is that while they will disconnect your current sink/faucet and put your new sink (and faucet, if you purchased one) in place, they cannot legally hook up the plumbing. You will need to schedule your plumber to come out the next day. This was no issue for us, but just something to keep in mind.  <br /> The installation went flawlessly. I've unfortunately forgotten the installers' names, but they were fantastic and worked with me to make sure I was happy.  <br /> I would absolutely use this company again -- in fact, I just might do that for some smaller jobs we have planned next year.  <br /> Thanks, Quarry Granite! <br />"
