"Dan was great!! He repainted my living room, kitchen, master bedroom, walk-in closet (with brand new built-ins that I was very nervous about but turned out beautifully!), and master bathroom last year and did a wonderful job. He was very professional and completed the project in a very timely manner! He made sure to clean everything up afterwards and all my furniture was protected and taken care of. I just had him come back and paint a spare bedroom as well and again it turned out beautifully. The room was originally a deep orange color and I was painting it a very light gray. Dan let me know that if there was anything that I wasn't satisfied with, he would come out and fix it. After the paint dried, it seemed to me to need one more coat as I could still see some orange coming through. I let Dan know and he was able to come back in under 48 hours to complete the third coat. His prices are very fair for the amount of work he does and detail and puts into it as well. Overall, I am very pleased with how my home turned out and will definitely be contacting him again in the future!"

"Tony did an excellent job painting my top gable. He was professional, punctual, and easy to work with from start to finish. He personally came out to provide the quote, and within two days, the job was completed with great quality and attention to detail. I was so impressed with his work that I’ve already asked him to take on additional painting projects around my home. Highly recommend!"

"I hired M.A.S. Painting and Remodeling to paint my guest bedroom and repair a water-damaged wall, and I’m very pleased with the results. He was punctual, professional, and extremely neat—he left everything spotless. The work was done to a high standard, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him or hire him again in the future. Great job!"

"Had both bathrooms remodeled by taking one piece shower and tub out and replacing with tile showers with glass doors. In one of the bathrooms, I also had the vanity and linoleum floor replaced with a new vanity with marble top, and laminate vinyl flooring. Billy did an excellent job on all of it and what I really like is that he only works on your project at one time so he doesn't leave you hanging two or three days while he goes off to work on someone else's job. I would hire him again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Fort Bragg, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
