"I feel like I was price gouged because I was a woman without knowledge regarding plumbing. I paid over $800 for the gentleman to change a cracked pvc pipe and change the tank/flap on the toilet. First the guy told me $1395. After my neighbor came over and told me to call the company that service my irrigation system he called the office and it went from $1395 to $813. I took pictures what was fixed showed another professional and was told it shouldn't have cost me more than a couple hundred dollars. The gentleman was pleasant but most con artist are. "The service call went off without a hitch. My service tech (Tony) was awesome. He was running a little late and called to alert he would be slightly late.  When he arrived I explained the symptoms of our problems and what I had tried to remedy the issues. He patiently listened, we then went outside to inspect the main line where he used his camera scope and discovered spider roots. It lead him to believe there was an opening (crack) in the line.  After shoveling back it was determined a larger root effectively pushed up the external sewer line and created a crack allowing growth and blockage causing our back up issues.   <br /> Tony cut out the root and cut out the damaged pipes and replaced the pipes in no time.  The water softner was a bonus item I mentioned I wanted removed and once again Tony took no time completing. Clearly his experience and knowledge makes him efficient and good at his profession.  <br /> I thought the pricing was fair and would recommend Tony and Tampa Bay Plumbing to anyone need of service. <br />"
