At the outset, they made thorough assessments of our family's barn, identifying several problem areas and offering multiple proposals for how best to address each (including strategies and estimates).  They walked through the different proposals with us, addressing all questions and discussing different options.  This was extremely constructive and important to the process. 

They demonstrated very clear understanding of post-and-beam wood construction.  They displayed great expertise in working with wood (white oak, red oak, hemlock) and with the tools, jacks and cribbing needed for this work.  They worked carefully, always putting in place the necessary jacks and cribbing in advance of each phase of this project.

They were clear about their schedule and were very responsible about communicating with us.  If there were a day that they would not be on site, they let us know ahead of time.  With the exception of a snow storm and an illness, they were on site five days a week from the first week in January till the second week in February, 2016.  

By the completion of this project, Colonial Restorations had made significant and important structural repairs to our barn.  This work was done with care, craft, accuracy, and to code.  (All elements of this project were examined and passed by the building inspector.)  Most important, these repairs respected and worked with the existing structure and materials of the barn.

"David and his team are exceptional. David came and did a thorough analysis of the issue and fixed the issue in a very short amount of time. He did a very professional job and took care of the issue and the siding looks like new now. He does a great job with very good materials and is a honest guy. The team also cleaned up the place nicely after they have done their job. Excellent work. He also went above and beyond. I asked his opinion on other 2 issues one in the leak of the skylight which was in the roof. He climbed up the roof and analyzed the issue and said that he can put a good fix to it. He fixed the leak issue and did not even want to charge for it. He also brought a aluminum wrapper and took care of another issue in the chimney and did not even want to charge for it"

"I added a dormer to our house, and part of the project was to replace the roof for the entire house. WR Construction replaced my neighbor's house last December, and I was astonished by their performance, so I asked them to provide a quote for our roof and the wood siding for the new dormer. Their price was very competitive and included all quality materials, so I awarded them the job. All materials and a dumpster arrive on a Wednesday. Thursday morning, William and 8 of his crew arrived and went to work. They covered the ground around the entire house and draped tarps from the roof edges to tarps on the ground, so the home and shrubs were protected from the debris sliding off the roof. The entire roof was stripped by 9 am. The debris was shoveled into wheelbarrows and loaded into the dumpster by 11. They installed new drip edges, water & ice, chimney flashing, and a water barrier. 5-6 nail guns install shingles for our 5000 SF house in about 5 hours. They even did our shed and the wood siding for the dormer. They were done cleaning up by 6 pm, and I was thrilled with their work. I HIGHLY recommend WR Construction!!!"

In addition to pictures that were taken of my actual roof before I decided to use their services, unlike the other two companies that I considered, Betho was the only company that did not ask about my marital status! Luis, the owner, was professional and focused only on delivering quality service for a long-lasting roof. I chose them also because they used Owens Corning shingles, which gave me peace of mind and comfort. The crew arrived on time and worked expeditiously for over a day and a half until the job was done. They also cleaned up all nails and materials when they finished their work. Because I was beginning to have a problem with bats and flying squirrels, I then had Betho Construction come back and install galvanized steel ridge protectors on my roof to keep the animals out! That project was done in a professional manner and was completed in half a day. I would use Betho Construction at any time based on the two jobs they have now done for me.
