"Atilio (owner) did work previously for our landlords at our rental home (installed gas range, installed kitchen sink). He came for an estimate within a day of the phone call, and provided an estimate via email within a couple of days. He came out on Saturday to cut drywall and prepare for the installation. He returned on Tuesday to complete the work - running the gas line from the basement (where the line enters the house for the furnace and water heater) to the kitchen and also to connect the lines for the fireplace. He also painted our exterior gas lines to make them look nicer (and less rusty). He returned again on Saturday once the stove had been delivered for the installation. Later on Saturday we called him again from a fireplace shop to get information about the line he had run (how many BTUs before we purchased a new burner mechanism) and he was very helpful, giving us advice to help save money on our gas bill. <br /> Atilio is a pleasure to work with and is very professional. He is very knowledgeable and we have been very satisfied with his work. <br />"

"They are amazing!!! The previous owner took Jitters to this veterinarian and so I continued this. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, they remember your pet and give special attention. They also mail you out tick and flea medicine so you don't forget, and they can do this on a monthly basis by charging your card and mailing it out. I would highly recommend them to others. They also have reasonable rates as well."

"As the new owners of the house, and with the weather turning bitterly cold, I was concerned about what to do if a pipe burst.  I expected the shut-off valve to be outside.  On a 26-degree afternoon, they arrived promptly and very courteous. <br /> Tom crawled under the house to determine were the main water line entered the house.  After determining the location under the house, we emptied the pantry to get at the enclosed area behind.  Once in the enclosed area, he promptly identified the appropriate cut-off valves.  Service complete, and one happy customer.... <br /> <br />"

"Mark and his team were spectacular! I have a large kitchen that needed over 200 square feet of granite replaced. Mark is a seasoned professional. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons of the many choices in countertop materials. Once we selected our granite, his artistry began. He utilized the slabs cleverly and designed lovely patterns to show off the unidue flow of the granite. The seams are impeccable. He and his team are extremely thorough, detailed and pleasant! I'm thrilled with the results and consider this project the easiest thing I've done all year! I highly recommend this top notch company!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Great Mills, MD

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
