"We contacted Pro Coat Painting LLC, the owner Kyle came to our house for a free estimate, he was very knowledgeable, knew exactly what needed to be done, he gave a written and detailed quote that same evening (reasonable pricing as well). We hired them to paint the exterior of our house. Kyle and Chad arrived to our house on time, they both were very friendly and hit the ground running. They repaired cracks, peeling paint and holes in our house and even primed/rust coated the electric meter. Kyle and Chad did an awesome job on our house and we are very impressed. They completed painting our house in three days. The quality of their work is great and we would definitely recommend Pro Coat Painting LLC to anyone. We are very happy and satisfied customers with the entire painting project. Great job!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Kailua Kona, HI

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
