I mentioned the Angie's list coupon for the additional 10% off for members. Daniel indicated the discount was for materials only. At the time I did not have the coupon with me and took his word for it. Later that day I wrote him an email for clarification of the coupon. It states "10% off all flooring sales/installation/repair purchase". Again he said "The Angies list discount is on material only". The discount come out to roughly to 5%. Second, Daniel tried to collect the remaining balance when the job was not completed and was thinking of adding more money when they had to go back to complete the job. Even though Daniel assured me several times, that he's been in the business for many years and my install was straight forward. After it was done, he sent an email stating "Also I did not charge you for the 3 wood transition strips, You got a great deal on that". Watch for add on's when the job is complete. After paying the full amount, I confronted Daniel a copy of the Angie's list 10% coupon. He immediately pulled out the check book and offered to apply the full 10% discount on the total price for not having a negative review on Angie's list. I declined, I thought it was better to inform the members of my experience dealing with Daniels flooring. It cost me about $160, but it might save some you thousands of dollars."
