"Jason was absolutely great to work with! He was quick and efficient in answering all of my questions. Insurance can be a pain, but Jason knew all of the ins and outs and was so helpful during the whole process. The day my roof was installed, the crew was so nice and helpful. They cleaned up everything afterwards and even used a magnet to cleanup any possible nail that was left in the yard. My roof looks fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend!"

"We needed a new roof after a storm. Roof-Tech came out and was there when the insurance inspector looked at the roof. Once it was approved Roof-Tech help us pick the roof we wanted. Installation was in one day. They did a great job on the roof and the clean up. We love it."

"Roofing gets such a bad rap, which made our experience with Levi that much better. It was awesome to have someone genuine and transparent. I recommend getting out of the house for the day because of the noise, other than that no complaints. We're very satisfied with the end result of our roof."

"Awesome job by Kincaid Roofing. Robert helped us through the entire process in dealing with our insurance company. He kept us updated every step of the way. "Prompt response to request for estimate. Estimate went well and schedule for work to begin was good. Removing the existing roofing material and starting the new roof was rocky to begin with. Once I contacted Mr. Schmitt, he immediately addressed all of my concerns, he was on site and I could not have asked for better customer service or responsiveness to my requests. Will definitely contact him for other work we plan to have done on our home."

"Excellent job repairing a patio roof a few weeks ago. Two days ago I asked them to check on the wonderful roof they recently installed- thought a small leak occurred during the last rain. All is well since the house itself seems to slant a bit. The roof is great, Michael explained things, and he gets my vote for a great attitude. Thanks for good work!!"

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in Lubbock, TX

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
