Hello, I am James Gibbs, sole proprietor of JG Carpentry. I have been building, repairing and renovating homes in Essex county for over 30 years. My primary goal is to satisfy my customer's needs and budget. I work alone, so I only take on smaller jobs as this allows me to focus on getting things done quickly and efficiently. I hold an unrestricted Construction Supervisor's License and Home Improvement Contractor license in MA and am fully insured. I am experienced in all aspects of residential construction, specializing in interior remodeling and custom built-in installation. I am willing to work with older homes, repairing ill-fitting doors and windows, squeaky stairs and floors, etc. I spent 6 years as a construction foreman in the film industry, and am always willing to take on creative or unusual projects. All my work is done in accordance with local building laws, and all jobs must have a contract signed by both parties before work can begin. No plumbing or electrical work.

"James had to remove some sections of rotten wood at the front entrance first and replace with new material before he could remove an old storm door and replace it with a new full view storm door with new hardware. The front entrance looks great and works great. I will call James for any work I have in and around my house as he does excellent work."
